충남도는 석면피해자와 가족 대상 '석면피해자 힐링캠프'를 마쳤다고 5일 밝혔다. 10월 23일부터 31일까지 태안 천리포수목원에서 2회 실시했다.

◆2015년부터 27회 1100명 참여

충남도는 2015년부터 석면피해자 정서회복과 삶의 질 향상을 위해 힐링캠프를 운영했다. 현재까지 27회 1100여 명이 참여했다. 올해 캠프는 장기간 신체적·정신적 피로가 누적된 피해자와 가족을 대상으로 진행했다.

◆생태체험·웃음치료 등 치유프로그램

주요 프로그램은 수목원 생태체험, 반려식물 가꾸기, 웃음치료 등 치유프로그램이다. 석면피해 구제제도 안내와 피해자 간 소통 시간도 마련했다.

도중원 충남도 대기환경과장은 "석면피해는 완치가 어려운 질병이지만 정서적 치유프로그램이 피해자와 가족에게 큰 힘이 되고 있다"며 "앞으로도 피해자들이 일상에서 안정과 희망을 되찾을 수 있도록 다양한 정서지원 사업을 지속 추진하겠다"고 말했다.
