2025 천안시민한마음체육대회가 25일 천안종합운동장 일원에서 개막했다.
천안시체육회는 이날 천안 31개 읍면동에서 출전한 선수단과 임원 3000여 명이 참가했다고 밝혔다.
대회는 축구, 배구, 배드민턴 등 10개 정식종목과 검도, 국학기공, 스쿼시 등 11개 생활체육 종목으로 진행됐다. e-드론축구, 스크린 배드민턴 등 체험 프로그램도 마련됐다.
오전 유관순체육관에서 열린 개회식에는 한남교 천안시체육회장, 김석필 천안시장 권한대행, 김행금 천안시의회 의장, 문진석·이정문·이재관 국회의원, 천안시체육회 산하 종목단체 회장 등이 참석했다.
한남교 체육회장은 "우리는 지난 6월 21년 만에 천안에서 개최된 충남도민체육대회의 감동을 잊지 못하고 있다"며 "4년 연속 종합우승은 시민의 응원과 체육인들의 역량이 모였기에 가능했다"고 말했다.
그는 "오늘 한마음체육대회가 모두가 주인공인 축제의 장이 되기를 기대한다"고 덧붙였다.
성화봉송 최종주자는 K리그2 천안시티FC에 올 시즌 구단 최초 준프로선수로 입단한 우정연이 맡았다. 체육회 관계자는 "실내 개막식인 만큼 안전사고 방지를 위해 모형 성화봉을 이용했다"고 설명했다.

The 2025 Cheonan Citizens' Unity Sports Festival opened on the 25th at Cheonan Sports Complex and its surrounding areas.
The Cheonan Sports Council announced that approximately 3,000 athletes and officials from 31 towns and districts in Cheonan participated that day.
The festival featured 10 official events including soccer, volleyball, and badminton, and 11 daily sports events including kendo, Kuksool Kigong, and squash. Experience programs such as e-drone soccer and screen badminton were also prepared.
The opening ceremony held in the morning at Yuguansun Gymnasium was attended by Han Nam-gyo, president of the Cheonan Sports Council, Kim Seok-pil, acting Cheonan mayor, Kim Haeng-geum, chairman of the Cheonan City Council, National Assembly members Moon Jin-seok, Lee Jung-moon, and Lee Jae-gwan, and presidents of sports organizations under the Cheonan Sports Council.
President Han Nam-gyo said, "We cannot forget the touching moments of the Chungnam Provincial Sports Festival held in Cheonan in June for the first time in 21 years," adding "The four consecutive overall championships were possible because of the support of citizens and the capabilities of athletes."
He added, "I hope today's Unity Sports Festival will be a festival where everyone is the main character amid everyone's passion and cheers."
The final torchbearer was Woo Jung-yeon, who joined K League 2's Cheonan City FC this season as the club's first semi-professional player. A Sports Council official explained, "Since it was an indoor opening ceremony, we used a model torch to prevent safety accidents."
