충남 보령시 고대도 인근 해상에서 여객선이 모래에 얹혀 고립됐다가 승선원 30명이 전원 구조됐다.
보령해양경찰서는 25일 오전 9시 17분께 보령시 고대도 여객선 선착장 인근 해상에서 344t급 여객선 A호가 좌주됐다는 신고를 접수했다고 밝혔다.
해경은 구조세력을 급파했다. 여객선은 돌출된 모래 부위에 얹혀 있었다.
저수심으로 구조정 접근이 어려워 구조대는 동력구조보드를 이용해 A호에 진입했다.
해경은 승선원 30명의 건강상태와 선체 파공 및 침수 여부를 확인했으나 특이사항을 발견하지 못했다.
해경은 어촌계 지원 선박을 동원해 승선원 30명을 안전하게 고대도로 입항시켰다. 여객선 B호가 고대도에 남아있던 승객을 태우고 대천항으로 이동했다.
해경 관계자는 "낚시 어선을 피하다 모래에 얹혔다는 선장의 진술을 토대로 정확한 사고 경위를 조사할 예정"이라고 말했다.

The Boryeong Coast Guard announced that it received a report at 9:17 AM on the 25th that a 344-ton passenger ship, vessel A, had run aground in waters near the passenger ship dock at Godae Island in Boryeong.
The Coast Guard dispatched rescue forces. The passenger ship was stranded on a protruding sandbar.
Due to shallow water, rescue boats could not approach, so the rescue team entered vessel A using a powered rescue board.
The Coast Guard checked the health condition of the 30 crew members and inspected the hull for damage and flooding but found no abnormalities.
The Coast Guard mobilized fishing village cooperative support vessels to safely bring the 30 crew members into Godae Island. Passenger ship B transported the remaining passengers on Godae Island to Daecheon Port.
A Coast Guard official said, "Based on the captain's statement that he ran aground on sand while avoiding a fishing boat, we will investigate the exact circumstances of the accident."
