세종시가 2027 충청 유니버시아드 대회 성공 개최를 위한 제1회 전국마라톤대회를 성공적으로 마쳤다.
세종시는 9일 세종시민운동장에서 '제1회 세종시 전국마라톤대회'가 성료됐다고 밝혔다. 세종시육상연맹이 주최하고 세종시장애인육상연맹이 주관한 이번 대회는 건강한 스포츠 문화와 안전한 대회 분위기 조성을 위해 마련됐다. 참가자와 관계자 등 총 4000여 명이 참가했다.
◆ 일반부·학생부 3개 구간 진행
대회는 일반부 10km 건강구간과 일반부 5km 구간, 학생부 5km 구간으로 진행됐다. 대회 현장에서는 세종시민과 전국 각지에서 모인 참가자들이 응원의 함성을 나누며 화합의 분위기를 더했다. 주최 측은 다채로운 경품추첨을 진행하며 마라톤대회를 풍성하게 꾸몄다.
◆ "건강한 일상 보내시길"
최민호 세종시장은 "이번 마라톤대회 참가를 위해 전국에서 세종을 방문한 여러분을 진정으로 환영한다"며 "막힌 길을 뚫고 나아가는 순수 한글말인 '아리아리'처럼 모두 건강한 일상을 보내시길 바란다"고 말했다. 세종시는 이번 대회를 통해 2027 충청 유니버시아드 대회 준비 역량을 점검하고 스포츠 도시로서의 위상을 높였다는 평가다.

Sejong City successfully completed the 1st National Marathon for the successful hosting of the 2027 Chungcheong Universiade.
Sejong Special Self-Governing City (Mayor Choi Min-ho) announced that the '1st Sejong City National Marathon' was successfully completed on the 9th at Sejong Civic Stadium. This event, hosted by the Sejong Athletics Federation and organized by the Sejong Disabled Athletics Federation, was prepared to create a healthy sports culture and safe event atmosphere. A total of about 4,000 participants and officials participated.
◆ Three courses for general and student divisions
The event consisted of a 10km health course for the general division, a 5km course for the general division, and a 5km course for the student division. At the event site, Sejong citizens and participants from all over the country shared cheers and added to the atmosphere of harmony. The organizers enriched the marathon with various prize drawings.

Sejong City is evaluated to have checked its capacity to prepare for the 2027 Chungcheong Universiade and enhanced its status as a sports city through this event.
