◆ 엔비디아·바르셀로나시와 전략 면담

천안시는 11월 4~6일(현지시각) 스페인 바르셀로나에서 열린 '2025 스마트시티 엑스포 월드 콩그레스(SCEWC)'에 참가해 글로벌 기업들과 협력방안을 논의했다. 천안시는 엔비디아와 AI 컴퓨팅 및 도시데이터 분석 협력방안을 논의했다. CIDAI(스페인 데이터·인공지능 혁신센터)와는 AI·데이터 도시 실증 공동연구 방안을 모색했다. 바르셀로나시와는 스마트 교통 인프라 구축 협력방안에 대한 의견을 나눴다.

◆ 8개 혁신기업과 천안관 운영

천안시는 이번 박람회에서 지역 혁신기업 8개사와 함께 천안관을 운영했다. 참가기업들은 인공지능과 스마트 인프라 기술을 중심으로 교통, 환경, 산업데이터 등 도시 문제 해결 솔루션을 전시했다. SCEWC는 각국 정부 기관과 도시, 글로벌 기업들이 참여해 미래 도시 기술을 공유하는 세계 최대 규모 국제 박람회다.

◆ 미국 라이다 기업과 업무협약

천안시는 행사 기간 미국 라이다 전문기업 Ouster, 국내 어반테크기업 그린에이아이와 글로벌 스마트도시 구축 업무협약을 체결했다. 3개 기관은 AI-LiDAR 기술 융합 스마트도시 실증 프로젝트를 추진하기로 했다. 김석필 천안시장 권한대행 부시장은 "글로벌 협력과 지속가능한 혁신을 통해 천안을 미래 스마트도시 중심으로 발전시키겠다"고 밝혔다. 천안시는 박람회 성과를 바탕으로 스마트도시 산업 생태계 확대, 국제 공동연구 및 투자유치 등 후속 사업을 추진할 계획이다.

Cheonan City operated the Cheonan Pavilion with 8 local innovation companies at the expo. ◆ MOU with U.S. LiDAR Company

The three organizations agreed to pursue an AI-LiDAR technology convergence smart city demonstration project. Kim Seok-pil, Acting Mayor and Vice Mayor of Cheonan, stated, "We will develop Cheonan into a future smart city hub through global cooperation and sustainable innovation." Based on the expo results, Cheonan City plans to pursue follow-up projects including smart city industrial ecosystem expansion, international joint research, and investment attraction.
