◆ "2006년 이후 교부세율 동결, 재정수요는 급증"
증평군의회 의원들은 결의문을 통해 "국가사무의 지방이양 확대, 복지 수요 증가, 지역소멸 대응 등 지방의 재정수요가 급증함에도 불구하고 교부세율은 2006년 이후 동결돼 있다"며 "현행 교부세율로는 늘어나는 행정수요에 군의 재정은 더욱 위축될 것이 분명하다"고 지적했다.

의원들은 "지방교부세 인상은 단순한 재원이전이 아니라 국가 전체의 지속가능한 발전에 기여하게 될 것"이라며 지방이 실질적으로 발전할 수 있도록 교부세율을 조속히 인상할 것을 촉구했다.

Jeungpyeong County Council (Chairman Cho Yun-seong) adopted a 'Resolution Urging Increase in Local Share Tax Rate' at the second plenary session of the 213th Extraordinary Session held in the plenary chamber on November 6. This resolution was proposed by Council Member Lee Geum-seon and is intended to strongly request the government to upwardly adjust the current local share tax rate (19.24% of total domestic taxes) for substantive local development.
