충북 증평군이 장기간 방치됐던 농협 폐창고를 문화와 정주 거점으로 재탄생시켰다.
증평군은 4일 도안면에서 '도안 복합문화공간 조성사업 준공식'을 개최했다고 밝혔다. 군은 농협 폐창고 2개 동을 '청춘농담누리'와 '도안창고플러스'로 새롭게 조성했다.
◆ '청춘농담누리', 귀농·귀촌 희망자 거주 공간 제공
'청춘농담(農談)누리'는 2층, 연면적 258㎡ 규모로 지난달 준공됐다. 귀농·귀촌 희망자를 위한 거주형 게스트하우스와 농업인 교육·회의실을 갖췄다. '농담(農談)'은 농업에 관한 이야기를 나눈다는 의미를 담고 있다.
'도안창고플러스'는 지난해 6월 준공된 2층, 연면적 430㎡ 규모의 문화공간이다. 현재까지 정책설명회, 음악회 등을 운영하며 문화 향유와 교류의 장으로 활용되고 있다.
◆ 국·도비 21억9000만원 투입, 농촌 인프라 확충
이번 사업은 농촌지역의 문화인프라 부족과 인구 감소 문제를 해결하기 위해 추진됐다. 충북도와 행정안전부 사업을 통해 국비와 도비 21억9000만원을 확보해 진행했다.
◆ "농업혁신 허브이자 체류형 정착 기능 갖춘 플랫폼"
이재영 증평군수는 "도안 복합문화공간은 농업혁신 허브이자 체류형 정착 기능을 갖춘 농촌 활력 플랫폼"이라며 "현장 중심의 지역발전 전략을 지속적으로 추진해 '머물고 싶은 농촌, 활력 넘치는 증평'을 만들겠다"고 밝혔다.

This project was promoted to solve the problems of lack of cultural infrastructure and population decline in rural areas. It was carried out by securing 2.19 billion won in national and provincial funds through North Chungcheong Province and Ministry of the Interior and Safety projects.

Jeungpyeong County Governor Lee Jae-young stated "The Doan Complex Cultural Space is a rural vitality platform with agricultural innovation hub and stay-type settlement functions," and added "We will continuously promote field-centered regional development strategies to create 'a rural area where people want to stay, a vibrant Jeungpyeong.'"
