충북농협이 대학생 식비 부담을 줄이고 쌀 소비를 늘리기 위한 나눔 행사를 28일 진행했다.

충북농협은 이날 충청대학교에 쌀 1천600kg을 전달하고 재학생과 교직원을 대상으로 '농심천심·밥심쌀심 500원 든든 점심밥' 나눔 행사를 열었다.

충청대는 전달받은 쌀을 활용해 교내 식당에서 점심을 500원에 제공한다.

행사에는 이용선 충북농협 총괄본부장, 조방형 강내농협 조합장, 유호광 서청주농협 조합장, 송승호 충청대 총장 등이 참석했다.

충북농협은 이번 행사가 청년층에게 충북 쌀의 우수성을 알리고 건강한 식습관을 만드는 계기가 될 것으로 기대했다.

이용선 총괄본부장은 "학생들의 건강과 학업 증진에 도움이 되길 바란다"며 "충북농협은 청년들의 건강한 미래와 우리 쌀 산업 발전을 위해 노력하겠다"고 밝혔다.
