24일 오후 2시께 충북 음성군 금왕테크노밸리산단 내 플라스틱 제조 공장에서 유해물질이 누출됐다.
소방당국에 따르면 이날 공장 내 200L 드럼통 1개에서 CHP80(위험물 제5류)의 자기 반응이 발생하며 가스가 누출됐다.
이 사고로 인명피해는 발생하지 않았다. 공장 직원 22명은 사고 직후 긴급 대피했다.
소방당국은 창고 내 다른 드럼통을 외부로 옮기는 등 안전조치를 진행 중이다.
CHP80은 위험물안전관리법상 제5류 위험물로 분류되며, 자기 반응성 물질에 해당한다.

No casualties occurred from this accident. Twenty-two employees at the factory were evacuated immediately after the incident.
Fire authorities are taking safety measures, including moving other drums from the warehouse to the outside.
CHP80 is classified as a Class 5 hazardous material under the Hazardous Materials Safety Management Act and corresponds to self-reactive substances.
