◆ 생활비 지원 확대...수도요금·종량제봉투 제공
충북 증평군은 다자녀가정의 양육 부담을 줄이기 위해 생활·교육·돌봄 전반에 걸친 지원 정책을 운영한다고 밝혔다.
증평군은 2024년부터 수도요금 감면 대상을 3자녀 가구에서 2자녀 가구로 확대했다. 19세 이하 자녀 2명 이상을 둔 가정은 가정용 수도 사용량 5톤에 해당하는 요금을 감면받는다. 신청은 수도사업소(043-835-4087)를 방문해야 한다.
증평군에 주소를 둔 다자녀가정 중 막내 자녀가 18세 이하인 가구는 종량제봉투(20리터) 60매를 연 1회 지원받는다. 신청은 주소지 읍·면사무소에 신분증을 지참하고 방문하면 된다.
◆ 돌봄서비스 본인부담금 최대 90% 지원
증평군은 '365 아이돌봄 서비스'를 통해 맞벌이·한부모 가정의 양육 공백을 해소한다. 전문 돌보미가 가정을 방문해 생후 3개월부터 만 12세 이하 아동을 돌본다.
증평군은 2자녀 가정에 본인 부담금의 50%를, 3자녀 이상 가정에는 90%를 지원한다. 국민행복카드를 발급받은 뒤 아이돌봄서비스 홈페이지에서 신청하면 된다. 다자녀가정은 본인 부담금 환급을 위해 통장과 신분증을 지참하고 주소지 읍·면사무소를 방문해야 한다.
◆ 교육·문화 분야 다양한 혜택 제공
증평군은 '바른인성장학금'을 통해 다자녀가구 학생 중 인성이 우수한 학생을 선발해 연 1회 장학금을 지급한다. 초등학생 20만 원, 중학생 30만 원, 고등학생 40만 원을 지급한다. 학교장 추천을 받아 학교별로 신청받는다. 문의는 미래전략과 평생교육팀(043-835-4622)으로 하면 된다.
율리휴양촌, 좌구산휴양림, 좌구산캠핑공원, 줄타기 체험시설, 썰매장 이용 요금이 감면된다. 좌구산 천문대 관람료도 할인된다.
다자녀가정은 차량 취득세 감면과 공영주차장 이용요금 할인 혜택을 받는다. 각종 지원 정책은 증평군 홈페이지 분야별 정보에서 확인할 수 있다.
증평군 관계자는 "다자녀가정을 위한 다양한 제도가 마련돼 있는 만큼 해당 가정에서는 혜택을 확인하고 활용하길 바란다"며 "아이 키우는 부담은 줄이고 양육 만족도는 높일 수 있는 정책을 지속적으로 추진하겠다"고 말했다.

◆ Expanded Living Cost Support...Water Rates and Waste Bags Provided
Jeungpyeong-gun in North Chungcheong Province announced it operates support policies across living, education, and childcare sectors to reduce the burden of raising children for families with multiple children.
Jeungpyeong-gun expanded water rate reduction eligibility from families with three children to families with two children starting in 2024. Families with two or more children aged 19 or under receive a reduction equivalent to 5 tons of household water usage. Applications must be made by visiting the Waterworks Office (043-835-4087).
Families with multiple children residing in Jeungpyeong-gun whose youngest child is 18 or under receive 60 volume-based waste bags (20 liters) once a year. Applications require visiting the eup or myeon office with identification.
◆ Up to 90% Support for Childcare Service Self-Payment
Jeungpyeong-gun addresses childcare gaps for dual-income and single-parent families through the '365 Childcare Service'. Professional caregivers visit homes to care for children from 3 months old to 12 years old.
Jeungpyeong-gun supports 50% of self-payment costs for families with two children and 90% for families with three or more children. After obtaining a National Happiness Card, applications can be made through the Childcare Service website. Families with multiple children must visit their eup or myeon office with a bankbook and identification for self-payment reimbursement.
◆ Various Benefits in Education and Culture
Jeungpyeong-gun provides scholarships once a year to students from families with multiple children who demonstrate excellent character through the 'Good Character Scholarship'. The scholarship amounts are 200,000 won for elementary students, 300,000 won for middle school students, and 400,000 won for high school students. Applications are received by school with principal recommendations. Inquiries can be made to the Future Strategy Division Lifelong Education Team (043-835-4622).
Usage fees are reduced for Yulli Recreation Forest, Jwagusan Recreation Forest, Jwagusan Camping Park, tightrope walking experience facilities, and sledding areas. Jwagusan Observatory admission fees are also discounted.
Families with multiple children receive vehicle acquisition tax reductions and public parking lot fee discounts. Various support policies can be found in the sectoral information section of the Jeungpyeong-gun website.
A Jeungpyeong-gun official said, "As various systems have been established for families with multiple children, we hope eligible families will check and actively utilize the benefits," adding, "We will continue to pursue policies that reduce the burden of raising children and increase childcare satisfaction."
