◆ 음성 관내 중학생 20명 참여한 탐구 캠프
음성중학교는 1월 10일 교내 창의융합관에서 음성 관내 중학생 20명을 대상으로 미래과학자 캠프를 운영했다. 이번 캠프는 과학적 탐구 역량과 창의융합적 사고력을 기르기 위해 마련됐다. 자연과학과 인문학을 융합한 탐구 중심 수업을 통해 학생들이 과학적 질문을 스스로 만들고 토론과 발표로 사고를 확장할 수 있도록 구성했다.
◆ 탐구 실험과 토론 수업으로 과학적 사고 강화
캠프는 '과학적 탐구란 무엇인가'를 주제로 한 탐구 실험과 토론 수업으로 시작됐다. 학생들은 두 차시에 걸쳐 과학적 탐구의 의미와 과정을 직접 실험하고 토의하며 과학적 사고의 본질을 이해하는 시간을 가졌다. '초고수를 찾아가는 길' 수업에서는 발표와 토론을 통해 탐구 과정의 사고 전략과 문제 해결 방식을 공유했다. 강사로 나선 김연수 박사는 민족사관고등학교 물리 교사로 재직 중이며 한국물리학회 KYPT 대회에서 7회 우승을 이끈 지도교사다.
◆ 과학과 인문학 아우르는 창의융합 교육 지속
음성중학교 관계자는 "이번 특강은 과학 지식을 전달하는 데 그치지 않고 학생들이 스스로 사고하고 토론하며 탐구의 즐거움을 느낄 수 있도록 기획한 프로그램"이라며 "앞으로도 과학과 인문학을 아우르는 다양한 창의융합 교육을 통해 학생들의 미래 핵심 역량을 키워 나가겠다"고 밝혔다.

◆ Inquiry Camp with 20 Middle School Students from Eumseong Area
Eumseong Middle School operated a Future Scientist Camp for 20 middle school students from the Eumseong area at the school's Creative Convergence Hall on January 10. The camp was designed to develop scientific inquiry skills and creative convergence thinking abilities. The program was structured to enable students to create their own scientific questions and expand their thinking through discussion and presentation using inquiry-based classes that integrate natural sciences and humanities.
◆ Scientific Thinking Enhanced Through Inquiry Experiments and Discussion Classes
The camp began with inquiry experiments and discussion classes themed "What is Scientific Inquiry." Students spent time understanding the essence of scientific thinking by directly experimenting and discussing the meaning and process of scientific inquiry over two class periods. In the "Path to Becoming an Expert" class, students shared thinking strategies and problem-solving methods in the inquiry process through presentations and discussions. Dr. Kim Yeon-su, who served as the instructor, is currently a physics teacher at Minjok Leadership Academy and is known as a coach who led teams to 7 championships at the Korean Physical Society KYPT competition.
◆ Continued Creative Convergence Education Encompassing Science and Humanities
An Eumseong Middle School official stated, "This special lecture was designed not only to deliver scientific knowledge but also to enable students to think independently, discuss, and feel the joy of inquiry," adding, "We will continue to develop students' core future competencies through various creative convergence education programs that encompass science and humanities."
