◆ 지역인사 첫 학장 취임
최경천(61) 전 충북도의원이 한국폴리텍대학 청주캠퍼스 지역대학장에 취임한다. 최 전 의원은 2026년 1월 1일부터 2년간 학장직을 수행한다.
한국폴리텍대학 청주캠퍼스에서 지역인사가 학장으로 취임하는 것은 이번이 처음이다. 한국폴리텍대학은 공공직업능력 개발기관으로 현장 실무형 기술인재를 양성하며 청주캠퍼스 재학생은 약 4천 명이다.
◆ 취임 포부 밝혀
최경천 학장 내정자는 시사종합뉴스와 통화에서 "기술이 삶을 좌우한다"며 "기술중심·기술존중 청주를 만들고 사람됨 갖춘 기술 인재 양성으로 지역 발전에 기여하겠다"고 밝혔다.
