심천중학교가 29일 학생들을 대상으로 실내 스쿠버다이빙 체험활동을 운영했다. 박행화 교장이 주도한 이번 프로그램은 전문 강사진의 지도 아래 진행됐다.

◆ 기초이론과 실제 체험 병행

학생들은 스쿠버 장비의 기본 구조와 사용 방법, 수중 호흡법, 비상 상황 대처 요령 등 기초 이론 교육을 받았다. 이후 실제 잠수 체험에 참여했다. 실내 환경에서 진행돼 수심과 수온이 안정적으로 유지된 점이 학생들의 안전한 활동 집중도를 높였다.

◆ 학생들의 신뢰와 체험

1학년 변상준 학생은 "처음에는 긴장했으나 강사의 설명으로 안심할 수 있었다"며 "물속에서 호흡하는 경험이 신기했고 안전 규칙의 중요성을 깨달았다"고 말했다.

◆ 지속적 안전교육 운영 예정

박행화 교장은 "이번 활동은 학생들이 물과 친숙해지고 해양 안전의식을 기르는 의미 있는 시간이었다"며 "학생들이 자신감과 도전정신을 키우는 데 긍정적 효과가 있었다"고 평가했다. 심천중학교는 향후 교과 연계 체험 중심 프로그램으로 학생 전인적 성장을 돕는 안전하고 유익한 교육활동을 지속 운영할 계획이다.

Students received basic theory instruction covering the fundamental structure and usage of scuba equipment, underwater breathing techniques, and emergency response procedures. They then participated in actual diving experience. Because the program took place in an indoor environment, water depth and temperature remained stable, allowing students to focus safely on the activity.

◆ Student Trust and Experience

Park Sang-jun, a first-year student who participated, said: "I was nervous at first, but the instructor's explanation helped me feel confident. The experience of breathing underwater was fascinating, and I realized the importance of safety rules."

◆ Ongoing Safety Education Plans

Principal Park Haeng-hwa assessed the program: "This activity provided a meaningful time for students to become comfortable with water and develop ocean safety awareness. It had a positive effect on building student confidence and challenging spirit." Simcheon Middle School plans to continue operating safe and beneficial educational activities that support students' holistic development through curriculum-linked, experience-centered programs.
