◆ 2026년 신년화두 '한·가·온·길' 발표

충북도는 올해 다수 분야에서 전국 1위를 달성했다. 출생아 수 증가율 8.8%(1~11월 기준) 전국 1위, GRDP 성장률 5.8%(2분기) 전국 1위, 수출 증가율 29.8%(6월) 전국 1위를 기록했다. 고용률은 10월 74.4%로 도정 최고치를 경신했다. 실업률은 8월 0.8%로 전국 최저치를 달성했다. 투자유치 64조 원으로 비수도권 1위를 차지했다. 2025년 정부예산은 역대 최대 규모인 9조 7천억 원을 확보했다.
◆ 김영환 지사 포부
김영환 지사는 "지난 3년은 전국 인구의 3.2%에 불과한 충북이 스스로 한계를 넘어 대한민국의 중심으로 도약한 전환의 시간이었다"고 평가했다. 김 지사는 "2026년에는 익숙한 구조와 관성을 과감히 허물고 충북의 참된 가치를 다시 세우는 혁신을 추진하겠다"고 강조했다. 이어 "지역과 세대, 산업과 삶을 고르게 잇는 도민 중심 도정을 펼쳐 충북 미래의 꿈을 완성하는 길을 열겠다"고 밝혔다. 민선 8기 출범 이후 김 지사는 타 시도와 달리 사자성어 대신 일상 언어를 조합한 신년 화두를 꾸준히 제시해 왔다.

The province recorded the highest birth rate increase at 8.8% (January-November), the highest GRDP growth rate at 5.8% (Q2), and the highest export growth rate at 29.8% (June). The employment rate reached a provincial administration record of 74.4% in October. The unemployment rate dropped to 0.8% in August, the lowest nationwide. Investment attraction reached 64 trillion won, ranking first among non-metropolitan areas. The province secured 9.7 trillion won in government budget for 2025, the largest in its history.
◆ Governor Kim's Vision
Governor Kim Young-hwan stated, "The past three years were a transformative period when Chungbuk, with only 3.2% of the national population, surpassed its own limitations and leaped to become the center of Korea."
