◆ 국가공간정보 최우수 기관으로 평가

대전시가 국토교통부 주관 2024년 국가공간정보정책 집행실적 평가에서 최우수기관으로 선정됐다. 국토교통부는 전국 지자체가 추진한 1,058건 사업 가운데 대전시의 '디지털 트윈 기반 지하시설물 통합안전관리체계' 구축 사업을 선정했다. 평가는 제7차 국가공간정보 기본계획과의 적합성, 목표 달성 정도, 파급효과, 연계 활용 정도, 사업 중요도 등 5개 항목을 기준으로 진행됐다.

◆ XR·AI 기술로 안전관리 효율성 강화

대전시는 XR 기반 모니터링 서비스와 AI 예지보전 기술을 지하시설물 관리에 적용해 높은 평가를 받았다. 지하구조물 점검 시 도로 굴착 시뮬레이션 서비스도 운영 중이다. 앞서 대전시는 서구와 유성구 전역을 3D 디지털 데이터로 구축한 '디지털 트윈 기반 소방안전도시 구축 사업'을 완료했다. 전국 최초 디지털 트윈 소방안전훈련 콘텐츠 개발, 소방차량 실시간 디지털 관제시스템, 건축물 실내네비게이션, 위치정보 사각지대용 스마트 전파감지센서 개발을 마쳤다.

◆ 시민 체감 지능형 도시 서비스 확대

강인복 대전시 토지정보과장은 "이번 최우수기관 수상은 대전시가 디지털 트윈 기반 AI 정부를 선도하는 도시임을 인정받은 결과"라고 말했다. 대전시는 정밀한 공간정보 데이터를 기반으로 시민이 체감할 수 있는 안전하고 편리한 지능형 도시 서비스 확대를 추진할 계획이다.

◆ Selected as Top-Performing Organization in National Spatial Information Policy

Daejeon City was selected as the top-performing organization in the 2024 National Spatial Information Policy Implementation Evaluation, conducted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. Among 1,058 projects led by local governments nationwide, Daejeon's "Digital Twin-Based Integrated Safety Management System for Underground Facilities" received the highest rating. The evaluation assessed five criteria: alignment with the 7th National Spatial Information Basic Plan, goal achievement level, ripple effects, degree of linked utilization, and project importance.

◆ Enhanced Safety Management Efficiency Using XR and AI Technologies

Daejeon City received high marks by applying XR-based monitoring services and AI-powered predictive maintenance technology to underground facility management. The city also operates a road excavation simulation service for underground structure inspections. Previously, Daejeon completed the "Digital Twin-Based Fire Safety City Construction Project," which converted Seo-gu and Yuseong-gu into 3D digital data. The city has completed development of South Korea's first digital twin fire safety training content, a real-time digital fire truck dispatch system, indoor navigation for buildings, and a smart radio wave detection sensor for coverage blind spots.

◆ Expanding Citizen-Centered Intelligent City Services

Kang In-bok, director of the Land Information Division of Daejeon City, stated that "this top-performing organization award recognizes Daejeon as a city leading the way in digital twin-based AI governance." Daejeon City plans to expand safe and convenient intelligent city services that citizens can experience, based on precise spatial information data.
