◆ 제야의 타종 행사 전면 취소

올해 충북 음성군에서 제야의 타종 행사가 열리지 않는다. 29일 군에 따르면 한국예술문화단체총연합회 음성지회는 31일 오후 10시 설성각에서 개최 예정이던 제야의 타종 행사를 전면 취소했다. 지난 23일 원남면의 한 산란계 농장에서 검출된 AI 항원이 고병원성으로 확인됨에 따라 확산 방지와 방역 강화를 위한 조치다.

◆ 도내 네 번째 고병원성 AI 발생

이번 음성군 고병원성 AI 확진은 올겨울 전국 18번째 발생 사례다. 충북 도내에서는 지난달 17일 영동 종오리 농장, 지난 16일 괴산 산란계 농장, 21일 진천 메추리 농장에 이어 네 번째 농가 감염이다. 이번 확진 농장은 도내 두 번째로 고병원성 AI가 발생한 괴산군 산란계 농장과 6km 거리에 있다.

◆ 행사 취소 후속 조치

강희진 음성예총 지회장은 "행사 취소로 인한 혼란이 발생하지 않도록 주민 홍보에 최선을 다하겠다"고 말했다.

◆ New Year's Eve Bell-Ringing Ceremony Fully Canceled

The New Year's Eve bell-ringing ceremony will not be held in Eumseong County, North Chungcheong Province this year. According to the county on the 29th, the Eumseong Branch of the Korean Federation of Artistic and Cultural Organizations fully canceled the New Year's Eve bell-ringing ceremony scheduled for 10 p.m. on the 31st at Seolseonggak. This measure is to prevent spread and strengthen quarantine after the AI antigen detected at a laying hen farm in Wonnam-myeon on the 23rd was confirmed as highly pathogenic.

◆ Fourth Highly Pathogenic AI Case in the Province

This highly pathogenic AI confirmation in Eumseong County is the 18th case nationwide this winter. In North Chungcheong Province, this is the fourth farm infection following the Yeongdong breeding duck farm on the 17th of last month, the Goesan laying hen farm on the 16th, and the Jincheon quail farm on the 21st. The confirmed farm is located 6km from the Goesan County laying hen farm where highly pathogenic AI occurred as the second case in the province.

◆ Follow-up Measures After Event Cancellation

Kang Hee-jin, head of the Eumseong Branch of the Korean Federation of Artistic and Cultural Organizations, said, "We will do our best to inform residents so that confusion does not occur due to the event cancellation."
