◆ 진천군기업인협의회 장학금 500만원 기탁

충북 진천군기업인협의회는 5일 (재)진천군장학회에 장학금 500만원을 기탁했다. 진천군기업인협의회는 지역 인재 발굴과 교육 환경 개선을 위해 이번 기탁을 결정했다. 전달식에는 김명식 진천군기업인협의회장과 임원진이 참석했다.

이번 기탁은 진천군기업인협의회가 지역사회 상생과 미래세대 지원을 위해 진행한 사회공헌 활동이다. 김명식 회장은 "지역 청소년들이 경제적 부담 없이 학업에 몰입하고 꿈을 펼칠 수 있도록 작은 힘을 보태고 싶다"고 밝혔다. 김 회장은 "앞으로도 지역사회 발전을 위한 다양한 공헌 활동을 이어가겠다"고 말했다.

송기섭 (재)진천군장학회 이사장은 "지역발전을 위해 꾸준히 관심과 지원을 보내주시는 진천군기업인협의회에 감사드린다"고 말했다. 송 이사장은 "전달받은 장학금은 학생들의 교육 기회 확대와 학업 지원에 소중히 사용하겠다"고 밝혔다.
