◆ 첨단소재협의회 하반기 정기총회 개최
충주시가 지역 내 첨단소재분야 기업 경쟁력 강화에 본격 나섰다. 충북 차세대 첨단소재협의회는 3일 충주 더베이스 호텔에서 하반기 정기총회를 개최했다. 이날 행사에는 관계자 약 40명이 참석했다. 참석자들은 2025년 추진 활동을 점검하고 2026년 사업계획을 공유했다. 지원기관 구축 장비 안내와 회원사 교류도 진행했다.
◆ 지산학연 협력 강화 의지 표명
정혁 협의회장은 "협의회를 통해 서로 이해하고 의견을 공유하는 자리가 많을수록 함께 할 수 있는 일의 폭이 넓어질 것"이라고 밝혔다. 정 협의회장은 지산학연 간 긴밀한 소통의 중요성을 강조했다.
◆ 탄성소재 기술지원센터 성과보고회 개최
한국소재융합연구원은 4일부터 5일까지 지속가능 탄성소재 기술지원센터 성과보고회를 개최했다. 충주시는 지난 6월 산업통상자원부 주관 핵심전략기술 기반구축 사업에 선정됐다. 충주시는 현재 탄성소재 기술개발과 기업지원 인프라 구축을 추진 중이다. 이날 성과보고회에서 한국소재융합연구원은 기업지원 실적과 장비구축 방향을 발표했다. 이어 충주시, 충북도, 한국교통대학교, 건국대학교, 고등기술연구원 충청캠퍼스 등 참여기관과 지역 기업 대표들이 충주 소재산업 성장 전략을 논의했다.
박선규 충주시 경제교통국장은 "산학연관 네트워크 중심인 협의회를 바탕으로 국책 인프라 구축 사업과 연계해 지역 기업 경쟁력 강화에 최선을 다하겠다"고 말했다.

◆ Chungbuk Next-Generation Advanced Materials Council Holds Second-Half General Assembly
Chungju City launched full-scale efforts to strengthen the competitiveness of advanced materials companies in the region. The Chungbuk Next-Generation Advanced Materials Council held its second-half general assembly at The Base Hotel in Chungju on December 3rd. About 40 officials attended the event. Participants reviewed activities carried out in 2025 and shared business plans for 2026. They also received guidance on support equipment and conducted exchanges among member companies.
◆ Commitment to Strengthening Industry-Academia-Research Cooperation
Council Chairman Jeong Hyeok said, "The more opportunities we have to understand each other and share opinions through the council, the broader the scope of what we can accomplish together." Chairman Jeong emphasized the importance of close communication among local governments, industry, academia, and research institutions.
◆ Performance Report Session of Elastic Materials Technology Support Center Held
The Korea Institute of Materials Convergence held a performance report session for the Sustainable Elastic Materials Technology Support Center from December 4th to 5th. Chungju City was selected for the Core Strategic Technology Infrastructure Development Project supervised by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy in June. Chungju City is currently promoting elastic materials technology development and corporate support infrastructure construction. At the performance report session, the Korea Institute of Materials Convergence presented corporate support achievements and equipment construction directions. Participating organizations including Chungju City, Chungbuk Province, Korea National University of Transportation, Konkuk University, and the Institute for Advanced Engineering Chungcheong Campus along with local company representatives discussed growth strategies for Chungju's materials industry.
Park Seon-gyu, Director of the Economy and Transportation Bureau of Chungju City, said, "Based on the council, which serves as the center of the industry-academia-research-government network, we will do our best to strengthen regional corporate competitiveness in connection with national infrastructure construction projects."
