충북도, 아세안 공무원 50명 초청…투자유치 다변화 추진

◆ 아세안 중앙공무원 50명, 11월 23~24일 충북 방문

충청북도는 11월 23일부터 24일까지 아세안 6개국 중앙정부 공무원 50명을 초청하여 문화산업 시찰과 투자환경설명회를 개최했다. KDI 국제정책대학원 연수생인 인도네시아·말레이시아·필리핀·베트남·캄보디아·미얀마 공무원들이 참석했다. 참석자들은 충북 문화·산업 현장을 둘러보고 지역 투자환경과 산업 경쟁력을 직접 확인했다.

◆ 글로벌 공급망 재편 속 미래 파트너 전략

이번 행사는 글로벌 무역투자환경 변화 속에서 외국인 투자유치를 다변화하고 아세안 지역과의 경제·산업 협력을 강화하기 위해 추진됐다. 최근 글로벌 공급망 재편과 미국 관세정책 변화에 대응하기 위해 충북도는 아세안을 미래 전략 파트너로 설정하고 정책교류 및 산업협력 확대에 나서고 있다.

◆ 법주사 방문부터 투자환경설명회까지 2일 일정

첫째 날인 23일 참가자들은 유네스코 세계문화유산 법주사와 청남대 등 충북 문화관광 명소를 방문했다. 24일 개최된 산업투자환경설명회에서 최복수 경제자유구역청장의 환영사, 충청북도 투자환경 소개, 도내 기업 사례발표가 진행됐다. 참석자들은 충북의 바이오·반도체·이차전지 등 첨단산업 생태계, 우수한 교통인프라, 기업 맞춤형 지원제도에 큰 관심을 보였다.

최복수 경제자유구역청장은 "충청북도는 반도체·바이오·이차전지 등 첨단산업과 K-뷰티를 선도하는 대한민국의 핵심 산업지역으로 발전하고 있다"며 "이번 행사를 계기로 아세안 국가와의 협력을 확대해 충청북도가 지속 가능한 공급망 구축을 선도하는 글로벌 투자유치 중심지가 되도록 최선을 다하겠다"고 밝혔다.

Officials participating in the Korea Development Institute International Policy School training program from Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Myanmar attended. Participants toured Chungcheongbuk-do's cultural and industrial sites and directly assessed the region's investment environment and industrial competitiveness.

◆ Future Partnership Strategy Amid Global Supply Chain Restructuring

The event was organized to diversify foreign investment attraction and strengthen economic and industrial cooperation with the ASEAN region amid global trade and investment environment changes. In response to recent global supply chain realignment and shifts in U.S. tariff policy, Chungcheongbuk-do has designated ASEAN as a future strategic partner and is actively expanding policy exchange and industrial cooperation.

On November 23, participants visited Bulguksa Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and Cheongnamdae, iconic cultural tourism destinations in Chungcheongbuk-do. The investment environment briefing held on November 24 featured welcoming remarks by Choi Bok-soo, director of the Chungcheongbuk-do Economic Free Zone Authority, an overview of Chungcheongbuk-do's investment environment, and case presentations from local companies. Participants showed keen interest in Chungcheongbuk-do's advanced industrial ecosystem spanning semiconductors, biotechnology, and secondary batteries, its superior transportation infrastructure, and customized corporate support systems.

Director Choi Bok-soo of the Economic Free Zone Authority stated, "Chungcheongbuk-do is developing into South Korea's core industrial region, leading in advanced industries such as semiconductors, biotechnology, and secondary batteries, as well as K-beauty." He added, "Building on this event, we will expand cooperation with ASEAN nations and work to position Chungcheongbuk-do as a global investment hub leading sustainable supply chain construction."
