◆ 산학연 400명이 논산서 국방산업 육성 포럼 개최
충남도는 1월 24일 논산아트센터 대공연장에서 2025 충청남도 국방산업 육성 포럼을 개최했다. 충남도와 논산시, 한국일보가 주최하고 충남연구원과 충남테크노파크가 주관한 이 포럼은 'AI 첨단국방과 K-방산 선도'를 주제로 진행했다. 전형식 정무부지사, 백성현 논산시장, 이성철 한국일보 사장 등 산·학·연·관 관계자 약 400명이 참석했다. 행사는 홍보 영상 상영과 주제 발표, 전문가 토론 및 질의응답 순으로 진행했다.

문영식 충남연구원 부장은 '전장 패러다임의 변화와 충남 국방산업 육성 전략'을 발표했다. 남승현 육군본부 과장은 'AI 첨단과학기술 기반의 육군 지상로봇 발전 방향', 박용운 국방로봇협의회장은 '국방 무인체계 발전 방안', 민지홍 국방과학연구소 부장은 'K-국방 개방형·모둘화 플랫폼 발전 동향', 임산 한국토지주택공사 팀장은 '논산국방국가산업단지 사업 추진 현황 및 활성화 방안'을 각각 주제로 발표했다. 전문가 토론에서는 박용운 국방로봇협의회장이 좌장을 맡았으며, 이기영 대전국방벤처센터장, 박매훈 한화에어로스페이스 유무인복합연구센터장, 최선한 이화여자대 교수, 안정선 충남테크노파크 첨단모빌리티센터장 등이 의견을 주고받았다.
◆ 정무부지사 "2029년 산단 조성, 2031년 국방기술연구센터 완성"
전형식 정무부지사는 "2029년까지 국방국가산단을 조성해 방산기업을 적극 유치한다"고 밝혔다. 국방과학연구소 산하 국방미래기술연구센터가 2031년까지 건립되면 국방산업 관련 상승효과가 기대된다고 설명했다. 정 부지사는 "2025년 방산혁신클러스터 사업에 선정되면 건양대 글로컬대학과 협력해 K-국방산업 협력 관계망을 강화하고 방산기업 육성 및 전문 인력 양성을 통해 국방 산학연 생태계를 구축함으로써 지역 혁신을 선도해 나갈 것"이라고 말했다.

About 400 participants from industry, academia, research institutes, and government attended, including Jeon Hyung-sik, Vice Governor for Administration; Baek Sung-hyun, Mayor of Nonsan; and Lee Sung-chul, President of Korea Daily. The event proceeded with promotional video screening, keynote presentations, expert discussions, and Q&A sessions.

In the expert discussion, Park Yong-un, Chairman of the Defense Robot Committee, served as moderator, while Lee Gi-young, Director of Daejeon Defense Venture Center; Park Mae-hoon, Director of Hanwha Aerospace Manned-Unmanned Teaming Research Center; Choi Seon-han, Professor at Ewha Womans University; and Ahn Jung-sun, Director of Chungcheongnam Technopark Advanced Mobility Center, exchanged opinions.
◆ Vice Governor States "Industrial Complex Construction by 2029, Defense Technology Research Center Completion in 2031"
Vice Governor Jeon Hyung-sik announced, "We will establish the National Defense Industrial Complex by 2029 and actively attract defense companies." He explained that when the Defense Future Technology Research Center under the Defense Science and Technology Institute completes construction by 2031, synergistic effects related to the defense industry are expected. Vice Governor Jeon stated, "If selected for the 2025 Defense Industry Innovation Cluster project, we will strengthen K-Defense industry cooperation networks through partnership with Konyang University's Glocal University Initiative and foster specialized defense companies and human resources, thereby building a defense industry-academia-research ecosystem and leading regional innovation."
