대한무역투자진흥공사(코트라)가 중견기업 주간을 맞아 산업통상부와 함께 18일 서울 롯데호텔 월드에서 '중견기업 글로벌 커넥트'를 개최했다.

행사 현장에서는 1630만 달러(약 240억원) 규모의 수출 계약 및 업무협약(MOU)이 체결됐다.

◆ 종합 지원 프로그램 운영

코트라는 이번 행사에서 중견기업 종합 지원 프로그램을 운영했다. 주요 프로그램으로는 ▲1:1 수출 부스터 상담회 ▲수출 계약·MOU 체결식 ▲산업 인공지능(AI) 포럼 ▲일자리 상담회 등이 마련됐다.

수출 상담회에는 인텔(미국 반도체), 씨피 엑스트라(태국 유통), 수칸다자야(인도네시아 식품) 등 100여개 글로벌 바이어가 참석해 국내 기업들과 수출 상담을 진행했다.

◆ 수출 시장 다변화 지원

코트라는 베트남, 인도네시아, 칠레, 이스라엘 등 글로벌 사우스 지역 바이어들을 대거 초청해 국내 기업의 수출 시장 다변화를 지원했다.

강상엽 코트라 부사장(중소중견기업본부장)은 "중견기업의 올해 수출 성과를 결산하고 산업·기술·인재를 연결하는 수출 생태계를 구축하기 위해 이번 행사를 마련했다"고 밝혔다.

KOTRA Hosts 'Mid-sized Enterprise Global Connect'... KRW 24 Billion in Export Contracts Signed On-site

Co-hosted with Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, Over 100 Global Buyers Participate in Export Consultations

The Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) held the 'Mid-sized Enterprise Global Connect' event on the 18th at Lotte Hotel World in Seoul, in conjunction with the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, to mark Mid-sized Enterprise Week.

At the event venue, export contracts and memorandums of understanding (MOUs) worth $16.3 million (approximately KRW 24 billion) were signed.

◆ Comprehensive Support Program Operations

KOTRA operated comprehensive support programs for mid-sized enterprises at this event. Major programs included ▲1:1 export booster consultations ▲export contract and MOU signing ceremonies ▲industrial artificial intelligence (AI) forum ▲employment consultations.

The export consultation session was attended by approximately 100 global buyers, including Intel (US semiconductors), CP Extra (Thailand retail), and Sukandajaya (Indonesia food products), who conducted export consultations with domestic companies.

◆ Support for Export Market Diversification

KOTRA invited a large number of buyers from Global South regions including Vietnam, Indonesia, Chile, and Israel to support domestic companies' export market diversification.

Kang Sang-yeop, KOTRA Vice President (Head of Small and Medium Enterprise Division), stated, "We organized this event to review mid-sized enterprises' export achievements this year and establish an export ecosystem that connects industry, technology, and talent."
