◆ 영동-안산 자매결연 협약 체결

충청북도 영동군과 경기도 안산시가 17일 오후 영동군청에서 자매결연 협약을 체결했다. 정영철 영동군수와 이민근 안산시장은 이날 협약식을 통해 두 지역 간 상호 발전과 교류 강화를 약속했다. 박태순 안산시의회 의장과 신현광 영동군의회 의장을 비롯한 양 지역 관계자들이 참석해 협약을 축하했다.

◆ 다양한 분야 협력 계획

양 지역은 농산물, 와인, 국악, 축제 등 다양한 분야에서 협력을 추진한다. 정영철 군수는 "산업과 문화, 해양이 어우러진 안산시와 자매결연을 하게 되어 기쁘다"며 "양 도시가 상호 협력하고 발전할 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다"고 밝혔다. 문화, 경제, 관광, 체육 분야에서 협력 관계를 강화해 주민들의 삶의 질 향상을 도모할 계획이다.

◆ 16개 도시 교류망 확대

영동군은 이번 협약으로 국내 자매·우호 도시 10개소, 국외 6개소 등 총 16개 도시와 교류망을 구축했다. 영동군은 활발한 도시 간 교류를 통해 인구 감소와 지방 소멸에 적극 대응해 나갈 방침이다.

◆ Cooperation Plans in Various Fields

◆ Expanding Exchange Network to 16 Cities

With this agreement, Yeongdong-gun has established an exchange network with a total of 16 cities, including 10 domestic sister and friendship cities and 6 international cities. Yeongdong-gun plans to actively respond to population decline and regional extinction through active inter-city exchanges.
