◆ 17일부터 26일까지 10일간 순방
이재명 대통령이 17일부터 26일까지 남아프리카공화국 G20 정상회의 참석 및 아랍에미리트(UAE)와 이집트, 튀르키예 중동 3개국 방문길에 오른다. 위성락 국가안보실장은 14일 브리핑에서 대통령 순방 일정을 발표했다. 이 대통령은 17~19일 UAE를 국빈 방문하는 데 이어 19~21일 이집트를 공식 방문한다. 21~23일에는 남아프리카공화국 G20 정상회의에 참석한 뒤 2425일 튀르키예를 국빈 방문한다.
◆ 남아공 G20서 포용적 성장·AI 등 논의
위성락 실장은 "이번 G20 정상회의는 아프리카에서 개최되는 첫 G20으로, 주제는 연대와 평등, 지속가능성"이라며 "이 대통령은 22일 오전 1세션에 참여해 누구도 소외되지 않는 포용적 지속가능한 성장을 주제로 경제성장과 무역의 역할, 개발 지원 등을 논의할 예정"이라고 밝혔다. 같은 날 오후 2세션에서는 회복력 있는 세계라는 주제로 재난 위험 경감과 기후 변화 등을, 23일 오전 3세션에서는 모두를 위한 공정한 미래라는 주제로 핵심 광물과 양질의 일자리, 인공지능을 논의할 예정이다. 위 실장은 "우리 정부가 추진 중인 재정 정책과 기후변화 정책도 소개해 국제사회에서 관련 정책 협의를 선도할 수 있도록 하겠다"고 말했다.
◆ 중동 3개국서 평화·번영·문화 협력 강화
위 실장은 "UAE와 이집트, 튀르키예는 중동 핵심국가로 이번 순방을 통해 평화와 번영, 문화의 새 차원에서 우리와의 호혜적 협력이 크게 증진될 것으로 기대한다"며 "평화 차원에서 한반도와 중동 평화에 대한 상호 지지를 확인하고 국가적인 방산 수출을 확대할 것"이라고 말했다. 이 대통령은 UAE에서는 정상회담과 비즈니스라운드테이블 참석, 이집트에서는 카이로대학교 연설, 튀르키예에서는 한국전 참전기념탑 헌화 등의 일정을 갖는다.

◆ 10-Day Tour from 17th to 26th
President Lee Jae-myung will embark on a tour from the 17th to the 26th to attend the G20 Summit in South Africa and visit three Middle Eastern countries: the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Egypt, and Türkiye. National Security Advisor Wi Sung-lac announced the president's tour schedule at a briefing on the 14th. President Lee will make a state visit to the UAE from the 17th to 19th, followed by an official visit to Egypt from the 19th to 21st. National Security Advisor Wi stated, "This G20 Summit is the first G20 held in Africa, with themes of solidarity, equality, and sustainability," adding, "President Lee will participate in Session 1 on the morning of the 22nd to discuss economic growth, the role of trade, and development assistance under the theme of inclusive sustainable growth where no one is left behind." In Session 2 that afternoon, disaster risk reduction and climate change will be discussed under the theme of a resilient world, and in Session 3 on the morning of the 23rd, critical minerals, quality jobs, and artificial intelligence will be discussed under the theme of a fair future for all. Advisor Wi said, "We will introduce our government's fiscal and climate change policies to lead related policy discussions in the international community."
◆ Strengthening Peace, Prosperity, and Cultural Cooperation in Three Middle Eastern Countries
Advisor Wi stated, "UAE, Egypt, and Türkiye are key Middle Eastern countries, and we expect this tour to significantly enhance mutually beneficial cooperation with us in new dimensions of peace, prosperity, and culture," adding, "In terms of peace, we will confirm mutual support for peace on the Korean Peninsula and in the Middle East and expand national defense exports." President Lee will hold summit meetings and participate in a business roundtable in the UAE, deliver a speech at Cairo University in Egypt, and lay a wreath at the Korean War Veterans Memorial in Türkiye.
