충남 서산시가 11월 8일부터 9일까지 서산파크골프장(양대동 753-3번지)에서 '2025 국제 크루즈 민항 취항기념 서산시장배 전국 파크골프대회'를 개최한다고 밝혔다. 서산시체육회가 주최하고 서산시파크골프협회가 주관한다. 대회는 지난해에 이어 올해 두 번째로 취항한 국제 크루즈선의 성공 운영을 기념하고 2028년 서산공항 개항을 기원하고자 마련됐다. 전국 14개 시도 파크골프 동호인 선수 644명이 참여한다.
◆경기장 정비, 자원봉사자·응급차 배치
서산시는 원활한 운영을 위해 경기장 주변을 정비하고 참여자의 편의와 안전을 위해 자원봉사자와 응급차를 배치할 계획이다. 대회 기간 선수와 관계자 1,000여 명이 서산을 방문해 지역 관광과 경제 활성화에 이바지할 것으로 기대된다.
◆장노년층 체력 증진 종목, 지역 경제 활성화 기대
이완섭 서산시장은 "파크골프는 장노년층의 체력 증진과 건전한 여가생활 향유를 위한 종목 중 하나"라고 밝혔다. 이 시장은 "서해를 깨운 국제 크루즈 관광도시 서산에서 그동안 갈고닦은 기량을 마음껏 펼치시길 바란다"고 말했다.

Seosan City, Chungcheongnam-do announced that it will hold the '2025 International Cruise Civil Aviation Operation Commemoration Seosan Mayor's Cup National Park Golf Tournament' at Seosan Park Golf Course (753-3 Yangdae-dong) from November 8th to 9th. Seosan City Sports Council hosts and Seosan City Park Golf Association organizes the event. The tournament was prepared to commemorate the successful operation of the international cruise ship that operated for the second time this year following last year, and to wish for the opening of Seosan Airport in 2028. 644 park golf enthusiast players from 14 cities and provinces nationwide will participate.
◆Stadium Maintenance, Volunteers and Emergency Vehicle Deployment
Seosan City plans to maintain the area around the stadium for smooth operation and deploy volunteers and emergency vehicles for the convenience and safety of participants. During the tournament period, approximately 1,000 players and officials are expected to visit Seosan and contribute to regional tourism and economic revitalization.

Seosan Mayor Lee Wan-seop stated, "Park golf is one of the sports for improving physical fitness and enjoying healthy leisure life for the elderly."
