삽교호관광지~음섬포구 연결, 편도 2시간 코스

당진시가 삽교호관광지에서 음섬포구를 잇는 총 5.8km의 해안둘레길 조성사업을 완료했다고 5일 밝혔다. 기존 4.5km 산책로 구간에 새로운 1.3km의 데크 산책로를 연장했다. 도보 기준 편도 약 2시간의 코스다. 당진의 대표 명소인 서해대교와 바다 경관, 삽교호 놀이동산 대관람차를 조망할 수 있다.

◆총 사업비 19억 원 투입, 2023년 8월 선정

당진시는 2023년 8월 「2024년 관광자원개발사업」에 최종 선정됐다. 도비 9억 5천만 원을 포함한 총 19억 원의 사업비를 투입해 올해 3월부터 본격적으로 추진했다. 당진시는 '2025-2026 당진 방문의 해'를 선포하고 연간 1,000만 명의 관광객 유치를 목표로 관광 활성화에 총력을 기울이고 있다.

◆지속가능한 해안 관광 인프라 확충

박미혜 당진시 관광과장은 "이번 해안둘레길 조성 사업을 통해 단순한 산책로가 아닌, 지역의 자연과 문화 관광지를 연결하는 기반을 마련했다"고 밝혔다. 박 과장은 "앞으로도 지역 주민과 관광객이 함께 즐길 수 있는 지속가능한 해안 관광 인프라를 확충해 나가겠다"고 말했다.

Connecting Sapgyoho Tourist Site to Eumseum Port, Two-Hour One-Way Course

Dangjin City announced on the 5th that it completed the 5.8km coastal trail project connecting Sapgyoho Tourist Site to Eumseum Port. A new 1.3km deck walking path was extended to the existing 4.5km walking path section. The course takes approximately two hours one way on foot. Visitors can view Dangjin's representative landmarks including Seohae Bridge, ocean scenery, and the Ferris wheel at Sapgyoho Amusement Park.

◆Total Project Cost of 1.9 Billion Won, Selected in August 2023

Dangjin City was finally selected for the「2024 Tourism Resource Development Project」in August 2023. The city invested a total project cost of 1.9 billion won including 950 million won in provincial funds and began full-scale implementation in March this year. Dangjin City declared '2025-2026 Dangjin Visit Year' and is making all-out efforts to revitalize tourism with the goal of attracting 10 million tourists annually.

◆Expanding Sustainable Coastal Tourism Infrastructure

Park Mi-hye, Director of Dangjin City Tourism Department, stated, "Through this coastal trail project, we have established a foundation that connects the region's nature and cultural tourist sites, not just a simple walking path." Director Park said, "We will continue to expand sustainable coastal tourism infrastructure that both local residents and tourists can enjoy together."
