◆ 산막이옛길 등산로에 국가지점번호판 설치
충북 괴산군은 칠성면 사은리 산44-2번지 일원 산막이옛길 등산로 구간에 국가지점번호판 12개를 설치했다고 31일 밝혔다.
◆ 국가지점번호, 10자리 고유번호로 위치 표시
국가지점번호는 산악과 해안 등 비거주 지역에서 위치를 확인하는 국가표준 위치표시체계다. 한글 2자리와 숫자 8자리로 구성된 10자리 고유번호를 사용한다.
◆ 괴산군 내 총 575개 설치, 매년 정비 실시
괴산군은 현재까지 575개의 국가지점번호판을 설치했다. 군은 매년 일제조사를 실시해 망실되거나 훼손된 번호판을 정비한다. 사고 발생 가능성이 높은 구간을 중심으로 신규 설치도 추진한다.
이번에 설치한 번호판은 등산객이 긴급 상황 발생 시 위치를 확인하고 구조를 요청하는 데 활용된다. 번호판 후면에는 괴산군 주요 관광지를 소개하는 관광안내도를 부착했다.
◆ 군수 "안전 확보 위해 설치 확대할 것"
송인헌 괴산군수는 "국가지점번호판은 응급상황 발생 시 골든타임 확보에 핵심적인 역할을 한다"며 "군민과 방문객의 안전 확보를 위해 설치를 확대하고 체계적으로 유지관리하겠다"고 밝혔다.
