◆군수·유성구청장 현장 방문해 수색 격려

정영철 충북 영동군수가 30일 양산면 천태산 실종 어르신 수색 현장을 직접 방문해 수색에 참여 중인 관계자들을 격려했다.

정 군수는 현장을 찾은 정용래 대전 유성구청장과 함께 수색 현황을 점검하고, 관계자들에게 "끝까지 포기하지 말고 한 사람의 생명을 구한다는 마음으로 최선을 다해 달라"고 당부했다.

정 군수는 주민 수색을 위해 적극 협력하고 있는 유성구청 직원들에게 깊은 감사의 뜻을 표했다.

◆유성구청 직원 30여 명 매일 수색 참여

이번 수색에는 실종자가 대전 유성구 주민인 점을 고려해 유성구청 직원들이 적극 참여하고 있다.

28일부터 31일까지 매일 30여 명씩 현장에 투입돼 경찰·소방·군청·군부대 등 관계 기관과 함께 수색을 이어가고 있다.

정 군수는 "이번 수색은 행정구역을 넘어선 협력의 모범사례"라며 "영동군도 가용 인력과 장비를 최대한 지원해 실종 어르신이 하루빨리 가족의 품으로 돌아올 수 있도록 끝까지 함께하겠다"고 밝혔다.

◆헬기·드론·수색견 투입해 산 전역 탐색

지난 13일 대한노인회 유성구지회 회원 110여 명과 함께 천태산 영국사를 방문했다가 실종된 80대 어르신의 행방이 확인되지 않은 가운데, 관계 기관은 헬기·드론·수색견을 투입해 산 전역을 면밀히 탐색하고 있다.

영동군은 지역 여건을 활용한 지원을 아끼지 않으며, 유관 기관과의 긴밀한 공조를 통해 '끝까지 포기하지 않는 수색'에 전력을 다할 방침이다.

Governor Jeong inspected the search status with Jeong Yong-rae, Mayor of Yuseong District, Daejeon, who visited the site, and urged officials, "Don't give up until the end and do your best with the mindset of saving one person's life."

◆About 30 Yuseong District Office Employees Participate in Search Daily

Yuseong District Office employees are actively participating in this search, considering that the missing person is a resident of Yuseong District, Daejeon.

From the 28th to the 31st, about 30 people are deployed to the site daily, continuing the search together with related agencies such as police, fire departments, county offices, and military units.

◆Helicopters, Drones, and Search Dogs Deployed to Search Entire Mountain

While the whereabouts of the elderly person in their 80s who went missing after visiting Yeongguksa Temple on Cheontaesan Mountain with about 110 members of the Yuseong District Branch of the Korean Senior Citizens Association on the 13th remain unconfirmed, related agencies are thoroughly searching the entire mountain by deploying helicopters, drones, and search dogs.

Yeongdong County is sparing no support utilizing local conditions and plans to do its utmost in "search without giving up until the end" through close cooperation with related agencies.
