◆등반대회 개최 배경

충북 보은군은 11월 2일 속리산에서 '제23회 속리산 문장대 등반대회'를 연다. 속리산 관광협의회(회장 조두영)가 주관한다. 가을 단풍철을 맞아 속리산의 경관을 알리고 지역 관광을 활성화하기 위해 마련했다.

◆등반 코스 및 참가 방법

등반코스는 속리산 잔디공원에서 세심정휴게소를 거쳐 문장대 정상까지 왕복 6km다. 참가자는 정상에서 진행요원에게 등반 확인증을 받는다. 참가 희망자는 당일 오전 7시부터 9시까지 속리산 잔디공원 내 진행본부에서 현장 접수한다.

◆행사 프로그램

등반을 마친 후 오후 2시부터 인기가수의 축하공연이 열린다. 완주자 대상 경품 추첨과 즉석 노래자랑 등 이벤트가 진행된다.

이혜영 문화관광과장은 "이번 등반대회를 통해 속리산의 가을 정취를 만끽하며 일상 속 피로를 덜고, 몸과 마음을 치유하는 시간이 되길 바란다"고 밝혔다.

◆Background of Climbing Competition

Boeun-gun, North Chungcheong Province, will hold the "23rd Songnisan Munjangdae Climbing Competition" at Songnisan Mountain on November 2. The event is organized by the Songnisan Tourism Council (Chairman Cho Du-young). It was prepared to promote the scenic views of Songnisan Mountain during the fall foliage season and to revitalize local tourism.

◆Climbing Course and Participation Method

The climbing course is a 6km round trip from Songnisan Lawn Park through Sesimjeong Rest Area to the summit of Munjangdae. Participants receive a climbing confirmation certificate from staff at the summit. Those wishing to participate can register on-site at the event headquarters in Songnisan Lawn Park from 7 AM to 9 AM on the day of the event.

◆Event Programs

After completing the climb, a congratulatory performance by popular singers will be held from 2 PM. Prize drawings for those who complete the course and events such as impromptu singing contests will be conducted.

Lee Hye-young, Director of Culture and Tourism, stated, "We hope this climbing competition will be a meaningful time to enjoy the autumn atmosphere of Songnisan Mountain, relieve daily fatigue, and heal both body and mind."
