태안군은 27일 안면읍 승언리에서 가세로 군수 등 군 관계자와 군의원, 지역 주민이 참석한 가운데 '승언2호 저수지 수변공원 조성공사 준공식'을 열었다고 밝혔다.
4년 만의 결실, 생태축 복원 사업 추진
승언2호 저수지 수변공원은 안면읍 승언리 산125번지 일원에 자리했으며, 총 연장 684m의 데크와 정자, 야간경관 조명, 조형물 등을 갖췄다. 가세로 군수의 민선7기 공약 중 하나로, 군은 공원 및 휴식공간이 적은 안면읍 주민들을 위해 총 사업비 24억 원을 들여 2021년 10월부터 공사를 진행해 4년 만에 준공했다. 승언2호 저수지 일원은 2023년 기후에너지환경부 주관 '도시생태축 복원 사업' 대상지로 최종 확정됐다. 군은 내년까지 생태 정화습지 조성과 저수지 산책로 1.3km 조성, 수질 개선 등을 추진한다. 안면읍 시가지 오수 유입 방지를 위한 민간투자사업(BTL)을 진행해 수질을 개선하고 깨끗한 물이 공급되는 습지 공간을 마련할 계획이다.
가세로 군수는 "생태자연도 등급 해제 문제와 관계기관과의 협의 등 어려움이 있었으나 지역 주민들의 적극적인 협조로 무사히 수변공원을 준공할 수 있게 됐다"며 "공원 조성에 힘써주신 모든 분께 감사드리고 공원이 주민들의 큰 사랑을 받을 수 있도록 관리에도 신경 쓰겠다"고 말했다.

Seungeon No. 2 Reservoir Waterfront Park is located in the area of San 125, Seungeon-ri, Anmyeon-eup, and is equipped with a total deck length of 684m, pavilion, night landscape lighting, and sculptures. As one of County Governor Ga Se-ro's 7th popularly elected term pledges, the county invested a total project cost of 2.4 billion won and began construction in October 2021 for residents of Anmyeon-eup, which lacks parks and rest areas, completing it after four years. The Seungeon No. 2 Reservoir area was finally confirmed as a target site for the 'Urban Ecological Axis Restoration Project' supervised by the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment in 2023. The county will promote various projects including ecological purification wetland creation, 1.3km reservoir walkway construction, and water quality improvement by next year. The county plans to proceed with a private investment project (BTL) to prevent sewage inflow from Anmyeon-eup downtown, improve water quality dramatically, and create a wetland space supplied with clean water.
County Governor Ga Se-ro said, "There were difficulties with ecological and natural map grade removal issues and consultations with related organizations, but we were able to safely complete the waterfront park with the active cooperation of local residents," adding, "I thank everyone who worked hard to create the park and will pay attention to management so that the park can receive great love from residents."
