기상청이 26일 오후 9시 충북 진천과 음성에 한파주의보를 발효했다.

충북지역에 올가을 한파주의보가 내려진 것은 이번이 처음이다.

한파주의보는 아침 최저기온이 전날보다 10도 이상 떨어지거나 영하 12도 이하가 이틀 이상 지속할 것으로 예상될 때 발령한다.

26일 북쪽의 찬 공기가 남하하면서 아침 기온은 영하 1도에서 5도, 낮 최고기온은 10도에서 12도를 기록했다.

기상청 관계자는 "29일까지 기온이 영하로 내려가는 곳이 있고, 바람까지 강하게 불어 체감온도는 더욱 낮다"고 밝혔다.

이어 "서리와 얼음 등으로 인한 농작물 피해에 유의해 달라"고 당부했다.

Cold air from the north moved south on the 26th, with morning temperatures ranging from minus 1 to 5 degrees Celsius and daytime highs between 10 and 12 degrees Celsius.

An official from the Korea Meteorological Administration stated, "Temperatures will drop below zero in some areas until the 29th, and strong winds will make it feel even colder."

The official added, "Please be careful of crop damage due to frost and ice."
