아산시, 온양대로 3-36호 확포장공사 완료…전면 개통

환경과학공원~아산대교 구간 1.2km·폭 11m 조성…총사업비 112억원 투입

아산시는 온양대로 3-36호(환경과학공원~아산대교) 확포장공사를 완료하고 전면 개통했다고 24일 밝혔다.

온양대로 3-36호는 배미동과 실옥동을 연결하는 주요 간선도로다.

아산시는 2022년 착공 이후 약 3년 10개월간 공사를 추진해 연장 1.2km, 폭 11m 규모로 조성했다. 총사업비 112억원이 투입됐다.

아산 환경과학공원(장영실과학관·생태곤충원·배미수영장)은 하루 평균 5000명이 방문한다. 진입도로가 협소해 교통 혼잡과 안전사고 위험이 꾸준히 제기됐다.

이번 확포장으로 도로 폭 확장 및 선형 개선이 이뤄졌다. 교통 안전성이 높아지고 환경과학공원 접근성 개선과 지역주민 통행 편의 증대에 기여할 것으로 보인다.

오세현 아산시장은 "이번 확포장공사는 오랜 기간 불편을 겪어온 주민과 환경과학공원 이용자들에게 안전하고 쾌적한 통행 환경을 제공하게 된 의미 있는 사업"이라며 "공사 기간 동안 적극 협조해 주신 주민 여러분께 감사드린다"고 밝혔다.
