제천시의회(의장 박영기)는 자매의회인 해운대구의회(의장 장성철)를 초청해 15일부터 16일까지 양 의회 간 교류행사를 진행했다. 제천국제한방천연물산업엑스포 홍보와 자매의회 간 우호 증진을 위해 마련했다.
◆ 15일 엑스포장 관람
방문단은 15일 제천국제한방천연물산업엑스포장을 찾았다. 한방·바이오·건강 산업 전시를 관람했다. 제천시의 대표적인 산업·문화 행사에 대한 이해를 높였다.
방문단은 엑스포 현장에서 제천의 한방·천연물 산업 활성화 노력과 지역경제에 대한 기여를 확인했다.
◆ 16일 청풍호유람선 탑승
방문단은 16일 청풍호유람선에 탑승했다. 청풍호반의 자연경관을 감상하며 제천의 관광 인프라와 지역 발전 가능성에 대해 의견을 나눴다.
◆ "상생발전 이루겠다"
박영기 의장은 "해운대구의회와의 교류는 단순한 방문을 넘어 서로의 지역 발전 전략을 공유하고 우호적 협력을 심화하는 뜻깊은 시간이었다"고 말했다.
박 의장은 "앞으로도 다양한 분야에서 교류를 지속해 두 지역의 상생발전을 이루겠다"고 덧붙였다.
◆ 1998년 자매결연 체결
제천시의회와 해운대구의회는 1998년 자매결연을 맺었다. 정기적인 상호 방문과 협력을 통해 의회 간 유대 강화와 지역 홍보 활동을 추진하고 있다.
