충청북도진천교육지원청이 10월 16일과 22일 관내 중·고등학교 특수교육대상자를 대상으로 스마트팜 진로직업 체험학습을 진행했다.
진천교육지원청(교육장 김사명)은 관내 중·고등학교 특수교육대상자 전원이 경기도 여주시 푸르메소셜팜에서 진로직업 체험학습에 참여했다고 22일 밝혔다. 푸르메소셜팜은 국내 최초의 장애인 스마트팜이다.
교육지원청은 2024년 진로직업 체험학습 만족도 조사 결과를 분석했다. 학부모, 학생, 교사의 관심 분야를 반영해 이번 프로그램을 마련했다. 교육지원청은 특수교육대상자의 진로 탐색과 직업 체험 기회를 확대하기 위해 이번 체험학습을 기획했다.
참가 학생들은 첨단 스마트팜 기술이 적용된 농업 시설에서 운영 방식을 관찰했다. 학생들은 자동화 시스템을 직접 체험하며 미래 농업과 기술 융합 직업군을 이해했다. 교육지원청은 이 체험이 인공지능 시대 직업 세계에 대한 시야를 넓히는 기회가 됐다고 설명했다.
김사명 교육장은 "이번 체험학습이 특수교육대상자들이 인공지능 시대를 함께 나아갈 수 있는 밑거름이 되기를 기대한다"고 말했다. 김 교육장은 "특수교육대상자들이 교육 발전 속도에 맞춰 꿈을 키워갈 수 있도록 맞춤형 진로 탐색 프로그램을 지속 확대하겠다"고 밝혔다.
진천교육지원청은 학생들의 흥미와 요구에 기반한 맞춤형 체험 프로그램을 개발할 계획이다. 교육지원청은 특수교육대상자의 사회 자립 역량 강화에 힘쓸 방침이다.

The Jincheon Office of Education (Superintendent Kim Sa-myeong) announced on the 22nd that all special education students from middle and high schools in the district participated in career experience learning at Purme Social Farm in Yeoju, Gyeonggi Province. Purme Social Farm is the first smart farm for people with disabilities in Korea.
The Office of Education analyzed the results of the 2024 career experience learning satisfaction survey. The office prepared this program by reflecting the areas of interest of parents, students, and teachers. The Office of Education designed this experience learning to expand career exploration and job experience opportunities for special education students.
Participating students observed the operation methods at agricultural facilities equipped with advanced smart farm technology. Students experienced automation systems firsthand and understood future agriculture and technology-convergent occupations. The Office of Education explained that this experience provided an opportunity to broaden perspectives on the job world in the artificial intelligence era.
Superintendent Kim Sa-myeong said, "I hope this experience learning will serve as a foundation for special education students to move forward together in the artificial intelligence era."
