오송역세권지구 도시개발사업조합이 11월 7일 청주시 흥덕구 오송읍 궁평리 일원에서 기공식을 개최한다.

2023년 조합과 시공사 간 계약 해지로 중단됐던 사업이 2년여 만에 재개되는 것이다. 조합은 지난 9월 금강종합건설을 기반공사 우선협상대상자로 선정했으며, 협상 마무리 후 본격적인 공사에 돌입할 예정이다.

이번 사업은 KTX 오송역 중심으로 71만2천㎡ 부지에 공동주택 2천228세대와 단독주택 1천19세대를 공급하는 교통·산업 복합도시 조성 사업으로, 2027년 조합 청산을 목표로 하고 있다.

한성희 조합장은 "오송이 가진 교통·바이오산업 잠재력을 결합해 미래 첨단 복합도시로 도약하는 전환점이 될 것"이라고 밝혔다.

Osong Station Area Development Project Resumes After 2 Years... Groundbreaking November 7 Geumgang Construction selected as preferred bidder... Targeting 2027 completion

The Osong Station Area Urban Development Project Association will hold a groundbreaking ceremony on November 7 in Gungpyeong-ri, Osong-eup, Heungdeok-gu, Cheongju. The project, suspended in 2023 due to contract termination between the association and construction company, is resuming after a two-year hiatus. The association selected Geumgang General Construction as the preferred bidder for foundation work in September and plans to begin full-scale construction after completing negotiations. The project will develop a transportation and industrial complex city centered on KTX Osong Station, supplying 2,228 apartment units and 1,019 detached houses on a 712,000㎡ site, with the goal of liquidating the association by 2027. Chairman Han Seong-hee stated, "This will be a turning point for Osong to leap forward as a future high-tech complex city by combining its transportation and bio-industry potential."
