충북 충주시는 박해수 충주시의원 부부가 이웃돕기 성금 5000만원을 기탁했다고 8일 밝혔다.

박해수 시의원과 김은희 은성종합건재 대표 부부는 이날 충주시청에서 조길형 시장에게 성금을 전달했다. 성금은 충주 지역 사회복지시설과 저소득층, 복지 사각지대 주민들을 위해 사용된다.

◆ 충북 4번째 부부 아너 소사이어티

박 시의원은 2014년 충북 17번째 아너 소사이어티(사회복지공동모금회 고액 기부자 모임) 회원으로 가입했다. 부인 김은희 대표와 함께 총 4억5200만원을 기부했다. 부부는 충북 4번째 부부 아너 소사이어티다.

◆ 의정비 전액 기부 공약 이행

의정비 전액 기부를 공약한 박 시의원은 지난 4년 동안 연간 의정비 3400만원에 1600만원을 더한 2억원을 완납했다.

박 시의원 부부는 "추위가 매서워지는 1월은 이웃들과의 따뜻한 나눔이 더 절실한 시기"라며 "작은 정성이지만 도움이 필요한 시민들에게 의미 있게 사용되길 바란다"고 말했다.

Councilor Park and his wife Kim Eun-hee, CEO of Eunsung General Building Materials, delivered the donation to Mayor Cho Gil-hyung at Chungju City Hall. The donation will be used for social welfare facilities in Chungju, low-income households, and residents in welfare blind spots.

◆ 4th Couple Honor Society in Chungbuk

Councilor Park joined the Honor Society (a high-value donor group of the Community Chest of Korea) as the 17th member in Chungbuk in 2014. Together with his wife CEO Kim Eun-hee, he has donated a total of 452 million won. The couple is the 4th Couple Honor Society in Chungbuk.

◆ Fulfilled Pledge to Donate Entire Council Allowance

Councilor Park, who pledged to donate his entire council allowance, completed payment of 200 million won over the past four years, adding 16 million won to his annual allowance of 34 million won.

The couple said, "January, when the cold intensifies, is a time when warm sharing with neighbors is more urgent. We hope this small gesture will be meaningfully used for citizens in need."
