◆ 긴급 영상회의 주재, 추가 확산 차단 지시

김영환 충북도지사는 1월 8일 오전 8시 30분 고병원성 조류인플루엔자 확산 방지를 위한 긴급 방역 영상회의를 주재했다. 김 지사는 같은 날 오후 진천군 진천읍 문화로 390에 위치한 거점소독시설을 방문해 진천군의 방역 대응 상황을 점검했다. 도내에서 1월 1일 증평군을 시작으로 1월 4일 충주시, 1월 5일 옥천군까지 고병원성 조류인플루엔자가 연이어 발생하면서 이번 긴급회의를 열었다.

◆ 진천군 방역 현장 직접 확인

김 지사는 진천군 거점소독시설에서 방역관리 실태를 직접 확인하고 현장 방역 관계자들을 격려했다. 진천군에서는 2024년 12월 21일 메추리농장, 12월 29일 종오리농장에서 고병원성 조류인플루엔자가 발생했다. 김 지사는 조류인플루엔자가 가금농가와 야생철새에서 지속 발생하는 위험 상황임을 언급했다.

◆ "차단 방역 총력" 당부

김영환 지사는 "진천군은 추가 발생 우려가 큰 지역인 만큼, 주변 농장으로의 확산을 막기 위해 차단 방역에 총력을 기울여 달라"고 당부했다. 충북도는 현재 도내 전역에 방역 태세를 강화하고 있다.

Chungbuk Province Governor Kim Young-hwan presided over an emergency video conference for preventing the spread of highly pathogenic avian influenza at 8:30 a.m. on January 8. Governor Kim visited the disinfection facility located at 390 Munhwa-ro, Jincheon-eup, Jincheon-gun that afternoon to inspect the county's quarantine response. The emergency meeting was held as highly pathogenic avian influenza occurred consecutively in Jeungpyeong-gun on January 1, Chungju-si on January 4, and Okcheon-gun on January 5.

◆ Directly inspects Jincheon-gun quarantine site

Governor Kim directly inspected the quarantine management at the Jincheon-gun disinfection facility and encouraged quarantine officials on site. Highly pathogenic avian influenza occurred at a quail farm on December 21, 2024, and a duck farm on December 29 in Jincheon-gun. Governor Kim mentioned that avian influenza continues to occur at poultry farms and wild migratory birds, creating a dangerous situation.

◆ Urges "all-out prevention efforts"

Governor Kim urged, "As Jincheon-gun is an area with high concern for additional outbreaks, please make all-out efforts in blocking quarantine to prevent spread to surrounding farms." Chungbuk Province is currently strengthening quarantine measures across the province.
