대전시의회 조원휘 의장은 6일(현지 시간) 미국 라스베이거스에서 열린 CES 2026 대전통합관 개관식에 참석해 국제소비자전자제품박람회에 진출한 지역 기업들을 격려했다.
◆ 대전 기업 17개사 참가
CES 2026 대전통합관에는 인공지능, 바이오헬스, 로봇, 반도체, 모빌리티 분야의 대전 스타트업 17개사가 참가했다. 대전시는 2024년부터 3년 연속으로 CES 유레카파크 내에 대전통합관을 운영 중이다.
조 의장은 개관식 축사에서 "CES는 전 세계 기술 변화를 선도하는 무대"라며 "대전 기업들이 투자 유치와 해외 진출 성과를 거둬 혁신기술 분야에서 한류를 선도하기를 기대한다"고 말했다.
◆ 현장 애로사항 청취
조 의장은 참가 기업들의 전시관을 차례로 방문하며 기술과 제품 설명을 듣고 애로사항을 청취했다.
조 의장은 기업 관계자들과의 면담에서 "혁신기업이 과학수도 대전의 성장동력"이라며 "시의회는 기업 현장의 목소리를 토대로 제도적·정책적 지원을 강화해 지속성장을 뒷받침하겠다"고 강조했다.
◆ 지원 강화 공약
대전시는 CES를 통해 지역 기업의 투자 유치와 해외 진출을 지원하는 정책을 지속할 방침이다.

Council Chairman Jo Won-hui of Daejeon City Council attended the opening ceremony of the Daejeon Integrated Pavilion at CES 2026, held in Las Vegas, United States, on January 6 (local time). He encouraged local companies that have entered the International Consumer Electronics Show and engaged in on-site communication.
◆ 17 Daejeon Companies Participate
Seventeen Daejeon startups from future strategic industries including artificial intelligence, biohealth, robotics, semiconductors, and mobility are participating in the Daejeon Integrated Pavilion at CES 2026. Daejeon City has been operating the Daejeon Integrated Pavilion within CES Eureka Park for three consecutive years since 2024.
Chairman Jo stated in his opening remarks: "CES is a stage that leads global technological change," adding "I hope Daejeon companies will achieve investment attraction and overseas expansion through CES and lead the Korean Wave in innovative technology sectors."
◆ On-Site Communication
Chairman Jo visited exhibition booths of participating companies one by one, listening to explanations of their technologies and products while identifying difficulties.
During meetings with company officials, Chairman Jo emphasized: "Innovation companies like yours are the driving force for Daejeon, the nation's science capital," and added "The Daejeon City Council will strengthen institutional and policy support based on voices from the business field to support continuous growth."
◆ Support Enhancement Commitment
Daejeon City plans to continue policies supporting local companies' investment attraction and overseas expansion through CES.
