청주상공회의소가 올해 상반기 중 신사옥 건립 구상을 마무리한다. 청주상의는 지난해 청주시 청원구 오동동 밀레니엄타운 부지를 매입하고 내부 태스크포스(TF)를 구성했다. 신사옥의 기능과 규모, 공간 구성 등을 구체화하는 작업을 진행 중이다.

청주상의 관계자는 "올 상반기 중 콘셉트와 기능, 규모에 대한 내부 정리가 이뤄질 것"이라며 "이후 예산 검토를 거쳐 하반기에는 설계 단계에 들어가는 것이 목표"라고 밝혔다. 설계 이후 착공까지 이어질 경우 준공까지는 통상 2년가량 소요될 전망이다.

현재 청주상의는 본관을 비롯해 관련 조직과 부속 기능이 3곳으로 분산 운영되고 있다. 신사옥 이전이 완료되면 조직 통합 운영과 회원 지원 기능 강화가 가능할 것으로 기대된다.

Cheongju Chamber of Commerce and Industry plans to finalize its new headquarters construction plan in the first half of this year. The chamber purchased land in Millennium Town, Odong-dong, Cheongwon-gu, Cheongju-si last year and formed an internal task force (TF). Work is underway to specify the functions, scale, and spatial composition of the new building.

A chamber official stated, "Internal organization of the concept, functions, and scale is expected to be completed in the first half of this year." The official added, "After budget review, the goal is to enter the design phase in the second half of the year." If construction begins after design completion, the building is expected to take about two years to complete.

Currently, Cheongju Chamber operates with its main building and related organizations divided across three locations. Completing the move to the new building is expected to enable integrated organizational operations and strengthened member support functions.
