◆ 옥천군 7일부터 읍·면 사무소서 신청 접수
옥천군이 농어촌 기본소득 지급 신청을 오는 7일부터 받는다. 주민은 거주지 읍·면 사무소를 방문해 신청할 수 있다.
농어촌 기본소득은 인구 감소와 고령화로 인한 농어촌 지역 소멸 위기에 대응하기 위해 정부가 국정과제로 추진하는 사업이다. 옥천군을 포함해 전국 10곳에서 올해부터 2년간 시범사업을 진행한다. 해당 기간 모든 주민에게 매달 15만원 지역상품권을 지급한다.
◆ 신분증·향수OK카드 지참 필수…온라인 신청 불가
신청 대상은 옥천군에 주민등록을 두고 30일 이상 거주 중인 주민이다. 신청자는 신분증과 지역화폐인 향수OK카드를 지참해 읍·면 사무소를 방문해야 한다. 온라인 신청은 불가능하다. 미성년자나 거동이 불편한 주민은 법정 대리인이 대신 신청할 수 있다.
첫 지급은 오는 2월 27~28일 이뤄질 전망이다. 지급된 농어촌 기본소득 사용 기간은 3개월(90일)이다.
◆ 부당 수급 방지 위해 전입자 실거주 확인 강화
옥천군은 부당 지급을 막기 위한 관리를 강화한다. 옥천군은 사업 확정일인 지난해 10월 20일 이후 전입자에 대해 3개월간 실거주 여부를 확인할 계획이다.
옥천군은 신규 전입자의 주택 임대차 계약서나 공과금 영수증을 확인한다. 필요할 경우 공무원이 직접 출장을 나가 이웃 등을 통해 거주 사실을 점검할 방침이다.

Okcheon County will begin accepting applications for rural basic income payments on January 7. Residents can apply by visiting their local eup or myeon office.
The rural basic income program is a national initiative the government is pursuing to address the crisis of rural area decline caused by population decrease and aging. The two-year pilot program will be implemented in 10 regions nationwide, including Okcheon County, starting this year. All residents will receive 150,000 won in local vouchers every month during this period.
◆ ID and Hyangsu OK Card Required…Online Applications Not Available
Eligible applicants are residents who have been registered and living in Okcheon County for more than 30 days. Applicants must visit eup or myeon offices with their ID and Hyangsu OK Card, a local currency. Online applications are not available. Legal guardians can apply on behalf of minors or residents with mobility difficulties.
The first payment is expected on February 27-28. The usage period for the rural basic income is three months (90 days).
◆ Okcheon County Strengthens Residency Verification to Prevent Fraudulent Claims
Okcheon County is strengthening management to prevent fraudulent payments. The county plans to verify actual residency for three months for those who moved in after October 20 last year, the project confirmation date.
Okcheon County will check housing lease contracts and utility bills of new residents. If necessary, officials will conduct on-site visits to verify residency through neighbors.
