시교육청은 2025년 한 해 동안 전문업체를 활용해 관내 172개 학교를 대상으로 정기점검을 실시했다. 환경물질 발생 우려가 있는 135개 학교에는 특별점검을 연 2회 진행했다. 점검 결과 일부 학교에 고온 난방 후 환기, 주기적 환기 등 조치를 시행했으며 관내 전체 학교가 실내공기질 기준에 '적합' 판정을 받았다. 공기정화장치 가동 상태 점검을 연 2회, 필터 청소를 연 1회 이상 완료했다.
◆ 2026년 흙먼지털이기 25개교 확대 지원
시교육청은 2026년 학교 현장 요구를 반영해 신규 사업을 확대하고 선제적 관리 체계를 구축할 계획이다. 공기정화장치 가동 기준 안내문 부착, 공사·비품 반입 교실 환기기준 안내문 부착 등 현장 밀착형 홍보를 강화한다. '흙먼지털이기 설치 지원 사업'을 초·중·고 전 학교급 25개 학교로 확대한다. 시교육청 관계자는 "교육공동체가 함께 참여하는 상시 관리 체계를 구축하고 현장점검을 강화해 쾌적하고 안전한 교육환경을 제공하겠다"고 밝혔다.
