◆ 가로림만 해상교량 건립 가시화
태안군이 올 한해 다양한 분야에서 획기적인 성과를 거뒀다고 30일 밝혔다. 군은 가로림만 해상교량 건립 사업 추진에 힘써 1월 '제6차 국도·국지도 건설 계획 예비타당성 조사' 대상 사업에 선정됐다. 7월에는 국지도96호 및 지방도603호선이 국도38호선으로 승격됐고 8월에는 해당 사업이 새정부 '국정운영 5개년 계획안'에 포함됐다. 해상풍력 발전단지 조성은 9월 한국서부발전과 상호협력 양해각서를 체결하고 10월 신재생에너지 집적화단지 지정 신청서를 제출하며 순항 중이다. 10월에는 '탄소포집형 수소생산기지 구축사업 공모'에도 선정됐다.
◆ 해양치유센터 개관, 방문객 4.04% 증가
서해안권 유일의 태안해양치유센터가 11월 개관했다. 태안읍성 복원 사업과 경이정 역사문화거리 조성 사업 등 적극적인 관광자원 발굴 노력의 결과 11월 기준 전년 대비 4.04% 증가한 방문객 수를 기록했다. '2025 태안 방문의 해' 운영이 성공적 마무리를 앞두고 있다. 어촌뉴딜300 사업에서는 만대항(2월)과 개목항(4월)이 준공됐다. 충남형 공동생활홈 조성 공모, 주꾸미 산란·서식장 조성 공모, 태안 바다숲 조성사업 공모 등에서도 성과를 냈다.
◆ 공모사업 43건 선정, 내년 예산 1986억원 확보
군은 올해 원북면 행정복지센터 개청, 농기계 종합교육장 준공, 벼 병해충 항공방제, 남면 국민체육센터 준공, 승언2호 저수지 수변공원 준공, 영목항 전망대 일원 관광자원화 등 다양한 분야에서 성과를 냈다. 군 관계자는 "올해 군이 신청한 공모사업 51건 중 43건(총 948억원)이 선정됐고 내년도 정부예산도 올해보다 17% 증가한 1986억원을 확보했다"며 "군민이 행복한 태안 건설을 위해 내년에도 다각적인 노력을 기울이겠다"고 밝혔다.

◆ Garorim Bay Sea Bridge Construction Becomes Visible
Taean-gun announced on December 30 that it achieved groundbreaking results in various fields this year. The county worked to advance the Garorim Bay sea bridge construction project and was selected for the '6th National and Local Road Construction Plan Preliminary Feasibility Study' in January. In July, Local Road 96 and Provincial Road 603 were upgraded to National Road 38, and in August, the project was included in the new government's '5-Year National Administration Plan.' The offshore wind power complex project is progressing smoothly after signing a mutual cooperation MOU with Korea Western Power in September and submitting an application for renewable energy cluster designation in October. The county was also selected for the 'Carbon Capture Hydrogen Production Base Construction Project' in October.
◆ Marine Healing Center Opens, Visitors Increase 4.04%
The Taean Marine Healing Center, the only one in the West Coast region, opened in November. As a result of active efforts to develop tourism resources including the Taean-eupseong restoration project and Gyeongijeong historical and cultural street project, visitor numbers increased 4.04% year-over-year as of November. The '2025 Taean Year of Visit' operation is nearing successful completion. Under the Fishing Village New Deal 300 project, Mandae Port (February) and Gaemok Port (April) were completed. The county also achieved results in projects including Chungnam-type communal living home creation, webfoot octopus spawning and habitat creation, and Taean sea forest creation.
◆ 43 Public Projects Selected, 198.6 Billion Won Secured for Next Year's Budget
The county achieved results in various fields this year including the opening of Wonbuk-myeon Administrative Welfare Center, completion of comprehensive agricultural machinery training center, aerial pest control for rice, completion of Nammyeon National Sports Center, completion of Seungeon 2 Reservoir waterfront park, and tourism resource development around Yeongmok Port observatory. A county official stated, "43 of 51 public projects the county applied for this year were selected (totaling 94.8 billion won), and we secured 198.6 billion won for next year's government budget, a 17% increase from this year," adding, "We will make multifaceted efforts next year to build a Taean where residents are happy."
