S등급은 어린이집 수, 자원봉사활동률, 스트레스 인지율, 문화기반시설 연이용객 수에서 기록했다. A등급은 1인당 지역내총생산(GRDP) 증가율, 지자체 적극행정 종합평가, 재정자립도, 재정자주도, 어린이집 유아 수, 문화기반시설 수, 평생교육시설 연인원 수, 평생교육시설 프로그램 수에서 획득했다. 분야별로는 교육·문화, 돌봄·복지, 행정·재정 분야에서 군 단위 평균보다 높은 수준을 기록했다.
◆ 정책 운영의 일관성 입증
단양군 관계자는 "생산성 높은 자치단체란 행정의 역량이 숫자에 그치지 않고 주민의 삶으로 이어지는 것"이라고 했다. 군은 적극행정 정착, 건전한 재정 운영, 돌봄 인프라 확충, 문화·평생교육 기반 강화 정책을 통해 지속 가능한 발전 구조를 갖춘 자치단체로 자리매김했다.

Danyang County achieved top-tier results in the local government productivity index measurement conducted on 226 municipalities nationwide. The county acquired 4 S-grades and 8 A-grades in a comprehensive evaluation of 26 indicators across 7 sectors. The productivity index measures how effectively administrative, financial, and policy capacity improve residents' quality of life in economy, environment, culture, and welfare while driving sustainable regional development.
◆ Excellence Demonstrated Across Four Sectors
S-grades were awarded in the number of daycare centers, volunteer activity rate, stress perception rate, and annual visitors to cultural facilities. A-grades were acquired in regional gross domestic product (GRDP) per capita growth rate, municipal proactive administration comprehensive evaluation, financial independence rate, financial autonomy rate, number of preschoolers in daycare, number of cultural facilities, annual attendance at lifelong education facilities, and number of lifelong education programs. By sector, Danyang County exceeded the county-level average in education and culture, care and welfare, and administration and finance.
◆ Consistency of Policy Operations Proven
A Danyang County official stated, "A productive local government means administrative capacity translates into residents' actual lives, not merely in numbers." The county established itself as a sustainable municipality through proactive administration implementation, sound financial management, expanded care infrastructure, and strengthened culture and lifelong education foundation policies.
