◆ 사고 발생
4일 오후 6시 20분께 충남 태안군 천리포 북서쪽 2.5㎞ 해상에서 승선원 7명이 탄 9.77t 어선이 전복됐다. 해양경찰청이 이 사실을 발표했다.
◆ 행안부 장관 긴급 지시
윤호중 행정안전부 장관은 사고 보고를 받고 "해양수산부, 해경, 충청남도, 태안군 등 관계기관은 가용한 모든 선박과 장비를 즉시 투입해 선원을 신속하고 안전하게 구조하라"고 지시했다. 윤 장관은 "사고 해역의 기상·해상 상태를 면밀히 점검해 2차 사고가 발생하지 않도록 철저히 관리해달라"고 당부했다. 행안부는 신속한 현장 대응을 위해 현장상황관리관을 급파했다.
◆ 구조 현황
해경은 오후 9시 기준 선원 3명을 구조했다. 나머지 4명에 대한 수색 작업을 진행 중이다. 구조된 선원 3명은 저체온증을 호소하고 있으나 생명에는 지장이 없다.

◆ Accident Occurred
A 9.77-ton fishing boat carrying seven crew members capsized 2.5 km northwest of Cheollipo, Taean-gun, South Chungcheong Province, at around 6:20 p.m. on December 4. The Korea Coast Guard announced the incident.
◆ Interior Minister Issues Emergency Order
Interior and Safety Minister Yoon Ho-jung received the accident report and ordered, "The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, Coast Guard, South Chungcheong Province, and Taean-gun must immediately deploy all available vessels and equipment to rescue the crew swiftly and safely." Minister Yoon urged authorities to "closely monitor weather and sea conditions in the accident area to prevent secondary accidents." The Ministry of the Interior and Safety dispatched an on-site situation manager for rapid response.
◆ Rescue Status
The Coast Guard rescued three crew members as of 9 p.m. Search operations for the remaining four crew members are ongoing. The three rescued crew members complained of hypothermia but are not in life-threatening condition.
