◆ 청주시 상수도 미보급 지역 수질개선 사업 마무리

청주시는 상수도 미보급 외곽지역 10개소를 대상으로 먹는물 수질개선 사업을 완료했다고 5일 밝혔다. 청주시는 지난 1월부터 총사업비 16억원을 투입했다. 소규모수도시설을 이용하는 주민들에게 깨끗하고 안전한 물을 공급하기 위해 사업을 추진했다.

◆ 노후관 교체부터 정수장비 설치까지 맞춤형 개선

세부 사업 내용은 다음과 같다. 미원면 종암리(소란) 등 5개소는 노후관을 교체했다. 강내면 사곡리(사곡) 등 2개소는 정수장비를 설치했다. 옥산면 금계리(금계) 등 2개소는 소규모수도시설을 개량했다. 미원면 성대리(벌말)는 배수관로를 설치했다.

◆ 350여 가구 수혜… 만족도 7점 만점에 6점대

이번 사업으로 총 350여 가구가 수질이 개선된 먹는물을 이용할 수 있게 됐다. 사업 완료 후 해당 지역 주민 대상 만족도 조사 결과 7점 만점에 평균 6점대를 기록했다. 박관석 청주시 상수도사업본부장은 "상수도 미공급 지역 주민들이 안심하고 먹는물을 이용할 수 있는 환경을 제공했다"며 "앞으로도 소규모수도시설을 지속적으로 관리하겠다"고 말했다.

◆ Customized Improvements Including Pipe Replacement and Water Purification Equipment

The project details are as follows. Five locations including Jongam-ri (Soran) in Miwon-myeon replaced old pipes. Two locations including Sagok-ri (Sagok) in Gangnae-myeon installed water purification equipment. Two locations including Geumgye-ri (Geumgye) in Oksan-myeon upgraded small-scale water facilities. Seongdae-ri (Beolmal) in Miwon-myeon installed distribution pipes.

◆ 350 Households Benefit… Satisfaction Score 6 Out of 7

A total of 350 households can now use improved drinking water through this project. A satisfaction survey of residents in the affected areas after project completion showed an average score of 6 out of 7 points. Park Gwan-seok, head of Cheongju City Waterworks Business Headquarters, said, "We have provided an environment where residents in areas without water supply can use drinking water with confidence. We will continue to manage small-scale water facilities."
