세종특별자치시의회 임채성 의장은 19일 이천시의회 방문단 16명을 맞이했다. 박명서 이천시의회 의장 비롯해 의정모니터단 4명과 의회사무과 직원이 참여했다. 방문단은 세종시의회의 의정모니터단 선발 체계, 분과별 운영 방식, 의견 제출 및 심사 절차, 동아리 활동, 지정 과제 운영 등 실무 시스템을 학습했다.
◆제4기 의정모니터단, 2024년 지방의회 우수사례 경진대회 장려상 수상
세종시의회 제4기 의정모니터단은 시민 의견 제출 증가와 의견 전문성 향상으로 2024년 지방의회 우수사례 경진대회에서 장려상을 받았다. 방문단은 세종의 피드백 기반 의견 순환 처리 구조, 모니터링 체크리스트 평가 체계, 분과별 모니터활동 등 시민참여 시스템에 관심을 보였다.
◆임채성 의장, "세종 경험 공유해 참여형 의정 구축 돕겠다"
임채성 세종시의회 의장은 환영 인사에서 "의정모니터단은 시민 목소리를 의정활동에 직접 반영해 투명성과 책임성을 높인 제도"라고 밝혔다. 그러면서 "세종 경험을 아낌없이 공유해 이천시의회가 시민과 함께하는 참여형 의정을 구축하는 데 도움이 되고자 한다"고 덧붙였다.
