◆ 행사 개요
제천시가 주최하고 평생학습 어울림한마당 추진단이 주관한 제17회 평생학습 어울림한마당이 시민들의 뜨거운 참여 속에서 성황리에 막을 내렸다. 이번 행사는 10월 31일부터 11월 1일까지 제천 동명광장 일원에서 열렸으며, '배움의 시작, 나눔으로 즐거움을 더하다!'라는 주제로 다양한 무대 공연과 특별공연, 그리고 약 40여 개의 다채로운 전시‧체험 프로그램이 진행됐다.

올해는 지역의 평생학습 기관‧단체‧동아리와 청소년 동아리 등 약 60여 개 팀이 참여해 배움의 성과를 공유하고 시민들이 직접 체험해서 배우는 축제의 장으로 꾸며졌다. 이틀간의 행사 동안 시민들은 평생학습 동아리와 청소년 동아리 공연, 전시‧체험부스, 시민 참여 이벤트 등 다양한 프로그램을 즐기며 평생학습의 가치를 체감했다. 첫째날 오후 2시에 열린 개막식에서는 평생학습 유공자 표창과 떡케이크 커팅식을 비롯해 백운면 주민자치 장구난타 동아리의 퓨전장구난타 공연이 펼쳐져 시민들의 호응을 얻었다.
◆ 향후 계획
김창규 시장은 "배움의 열정이 모여 제천을 더욱 활기찬 학습도시로 만들고 있다"며, "앞으로도 시민 누구나 쉽게 배우고 성장할 수 있는 평생학습 환경을 만들어가겠다"고 말했다. 제천시는 매년 개최되는 평생학습 어울림한마당을 계기로 평생학습의 저변을 더욱 확대하고, 지역의 학습공동체를 강화하기 위한 다양한 사업을 이어갈 계획이다.

◆ Participation Status and Programs
This year, about 60 teams including local lifelong learning institutions, organizations, clubs, and youth clubs participated to share learning achievements and create a festival venue where citizens could directly experience and learn. During the two-day event, citizens enjoyed various programs including lifelong learning club and youth club performances, exhibition and experience booths, and citizen participation events, experiencing the value of lifelong learning. At the opening ceremony held at 2 PM on the first day, lifelong learning merit awards and rice cake cutting ceremony were held, along with an exciting fusion janggu nanta performance by the Baegun-myeon residents' autonomy janggu nanta club, receiving citizen response.
◆ Future Plans
Mayor Kim Chang-gyu said "The passion for learning is gathering to make Jecheon a more vibrant learning city" and "We will continue to create a lifelong learning environment where all citizens can easily learn and grow." Jecheon City plans to further expand the base of lifelong learning and continue various projects to strengthen the local learning community through the annually held Lifelong Learning Festival.
