아산시가 '2025 대한민국 공공디자인대상'에서 한국공예·디자인문화진흥원장상을 받았다.

문화체육관광부가 주최하고 한국공예·디자인문화진흥원이 주관한 이번 시상식은 24일 열렸다. 시장은 오세현이다.

수상 작품은 온양온천 원도심 범죄예방 환경디자인 사업이다. 이 사업은 도시의 상징성과 정체성을 반영한 범죄예방 디자인으로 도시환경을 개선했다. 시민의 안전 체감도도 높였다.

사업 내용은 포장마차 거리 정비와 어린이 통학로 조성이다. 범죄 취약지역의 보행 환경을 개선했다. 셉테드(CPTED·범죄예방 환경설계) 기법을 시각적으로 체계화해 도시브랜드와 결합했다.

수상작은 '공공디자인 축제 2025'의 충남 거점으로 선정됐다. 축제 기간 동안 소개되며 공식 홈페이지에서도 확인할 수 있다.

아산시 건축과장 이강헌은 "아산시만의 시각적 아이덴티티를 바탕으로 범죄예방 기능을 강화한 점이 인정받았다"고 밝혔다. 그는 "시민이 체감할 수 있는 사람 중심의 공공디자인 정책을 추진하겠다"고 말했다.
