영동군, 국악엑스포 공공디자인으로 '한국색채대상' 수상
포도·와인 모티브 보라색 계열 색채 전략 높은 평가
충북 영동군이 '2025 영동세계국악엑스포' 공공환경 디자인 개선사업으로 제23회 한국색채대상 BLUE(가치) 부문을 수상했다고 27일 밝혔다.
이번 수상은 2024 국제행사 공공디자인 지원사업의 일환으로 추진된 프로젝트다. 영동군은 지역의 문화적 자산과 도시 정체성을 시각적으로 구현한 점에서 높은 평가를 받았다.
'2025 영동세계국악엑스포'는 지난 9월 말부터 10월 초까지 영동 일대에서 열렸다. 국내외 전통음악과 예술을 아우르는 다양한 프로그램으로 관람객 100만 명 이상을 유치하며 성공적으로 마무리됐다.
영동군은 엑스포의 상징성과 지역 특산물인 포도·와인을 모티브로 한 보라색 계열의 색채 전략을 도시 곳곳에 적용했다. 깊이 있는 와인의 보라와 활기를 담은 퍼플 톤은 도시 공간에 세련미와 활력을 더했다. 주민에게는 자긍심을, 방문객에게는 차별화된 도시 경험을 제공했다.
한국색채대상은 (사)한국색채학회가 주최하고 산업통상자원부, 한국디자인진흥원 등이 후원하는 국내 최고 권위의 색채 디자인 공모전이다. 올해는 경관·제품·패션 등 다양한 분야에서 창의적인 색채 활용 사례가 출품됐다.
수상작은 11월 7일부터 8일까지 디자인하우스 모이소 갤러리 A홈에서 전시된다. 시상식은 11월 8일 오후 4시에 열린다.
영동군 관계자는 "공공디자인을 통해 지역의 문화적 정체성을 강화하고, 국제행사의 품격을 높일 수 있었다"며 "앞으로도 무장애 환경과 문화 감성이 공존하는 도시 공간을 지속적으로 조성해 나가겠다"고 밝혔다.

The deep wine purple and vibrant purple tones added sophistication and vitality to urban spaces. They provided pride to residents and a differentiated urban experience to visitors.
The Korea Color Award is the most prestigious color design competition in Korea, hosted by the Korean Society of Color Studies and sponsored by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, Korea Institute of Design Promotion, and others. This year, creative color application cases were submitted in various fields including landscape, product, and fashion.
The award-winning works will be exhibited at Design House Moiso Gallery A Home from November 7 to 8. The awards ceremony will be held at 4 PM on November 8.
A Yeongdong County official said, "We were able to strengthen the region's cultural identity and enhance the quality of international events through public design," and added, "We will continue to create urban spaces where barrier-free environments and cultural sensibility coexist."
