청양군은 남양면 구룡3리 일원에서 '제6회 백만송이 국화축제'를 연다고 23일 밝혔다.

백만송이 국화축제는 2020년 청양군농업기술센터의 '국화 경관 조성 확대 시범사업' 대상지로 선정되며 시작된 마을 주민들이 봄부터 정성껏 심고 가꿔 선보이는 주민 참여형 축제다.

국화 분재·작품전과 시화전, 국화 화분 판매장이 운영되고, 색소폰 연주와 축하공연, 주민 노래자랑 등 다채로운 무대 프로그램과 먹거리·체험 코너가 마련된다.

김동칠 남양면장은 "주민들이 손수 준비한 축제인 만큼, 많은 분들이 찾아와 따뜻한 가을 햇살과 은은한 국화 향기 속에서 소중한 추억을 남기시길 기대한다"고 했다.

Cheongyang County to Host '6th Million Chrysanthemum Festival'

Autumn Celebration Prepared by Residents…Diverse Programs at Gurong 3-ri, Namyang-myeon

Cheongyang County announced on the 22nd that it will hold the '6th Million Chrysanthemum Festival' in the Gurong 3-ri area of Namyang-myeon.

The Million Chrysanthemum Festival is a resident-participatory festival that began in 2020 when the area was selected as a site for the Cheongyang County Agricultural Technology Center's 'Chrysanthemum Landscape Expansion Pilot Project,' with local residents carefully planting and cultivating the flowers from spring.

The festival will feature chrysanthemum bonsai and art exhibitions, poetry displays, and a chrysanthemum pot sales area, along with diverse stage programs including saxophone performances, celebration shows, and residents' singing contests, as well as food and experience corners.

Kim Dong-chil, head of Namyang-myeon, said, "As this is a festival prepared by the residents themselves, we hope many people will visit and create precious memories in the warm autumn sunlight and gentle fragrance of chrysanthemums."
