충청북도가 22일 서울 앰배서더 풀만 호텔에서 수도권 첨단·우수기업 CEO 300여 명을 대상으로 투자유치설명회를 개최했다.
김영환 충북도지사는 이날 설명회에서 반도체·이차전지·바이오(BBC) 산업의 투자 환경을 소개했다. 충북에는 SK하이닉스, DB하이텍, 네패스 등 반도체 앵커기업과 LG에너지솔루션, LG화학, 에코프로 등 이차전지 기업이 위치해 있다.
충북은 민선 8기 들어 63조 원의 투자를 유치했다. 도는 이를 역대 최단기간 최대 실적으로 평가했다.
투자유치 성과는 경제지표로 나타났다. 충북은 경제성장률 전국 1위, 수출성장률 전국 1위, 고용률 2위, 실업률 1위, 일자리 대상 1위, 출생아 수 증가율 1위를 기록했다.
설명회에 앞서 충청북도와 메인비즈협회는 투자유치와 중소기업 협력 지원을 위한 업무협약을 체결했다. 메인비즈협회 소속은 수도권 기업 CEO들이다.
충북은 국가첨단전략산업·소부장 특화단지를 지정받았다. 이차전지 분야와 오송 K-바이오 스퀘어를 조성 중이며, 전국 유일의 바이오 소부장 특화단지도 확보했다.
김영환 지사는 "민선 8기 투자유치 성공은 충북의 우수한 투자 여건과 적극적 투자유치 때문"이라며 "충북에 투자한 기업이 성공할 수 있도록 과감한 기업지원과 적극적 행정지원을 하겠다"고 밝혔다.
충북은 매년 메인비즈협회 소속 수도권 CEO들을 대상으로 투자유치설명회를 개최하고 있다. 도는 설명회 참석 기업인들에게 지속적인 홍보활동을 전개할 계획이다.

Governor Kim Young-hwan introduced the investment environment for semiconductor, secondary battery, and bio (BBC) industries at the briefing. Chungbuk has semiconductor anchor companies such as SK Hynix, DB HiTek, and Nepes, and secondary battery companies such as LG Energy Solution, LG Chem, and Ecopro.
Chungbuk attracted 63 trillion won in investment during the 8th elected term. The province evaluated this as the largest achievement in the shortest period in history.
The investment attraction performance appeared in economic indicators. Chungbuk ranked first in economic growth rate nationwide, first in export growth rate nationwide, second in employment rate, first in unemployment rate, first in job awards, and first in birth rate increase nationwide.
Prior to the briefing, Chungcheongbuk-do and Mainbiz Association signed a business agreement for investment attraction and small and medium-sized enterprise cooperation support. Mainbiz Association members are CEOs of companies in the capital region.
Chungbuk has been designated as a national advanced strategic industry and materials, parts, and equipment specialized complex. It is developing a secondary battery sector and Osong K-Bio Square, and secured the nation's only bio materials, parts, and equipment specialized complex.
Governor Kim Young-hwan said, "The success of investment attraction in the 8th elected term is due to Chungbuk's excellent investment conditions and active investment attraction," adding, "We will provide bold corporate support and active administrative support so that companies investing in Chungbuk can succeed."
Chungbuk holds investment attraction briefings for CEOs in the capital region belonging to Mainbiz Association every year. The province plans to carry out continuous promotional activities for business people who attended the briefing.
